I agree. Clearing the secure area sounds silly. Unless they have reason to believe there was a breach of the security... like the time when the guy forgot to plug the metal detector into the wall (Doh!) or the time that the guy fell asleep watching the X-Ray machine (Duh!).

They've put up all these barriers to prohibit truck bombs from getting close enough to the Terminals to reach any travelers. So ... let's move all the travelers out next to the barriers!
