Yes, but in other countries where EL AL has flights, the hosting country takes great precautions. It isn't until you get to the gate area here that their security takes over. It is lax security here on the airports part, not EL AL.

I was in San Diego last month and noticed that anybody could have driven their car thru these huge glass doors at the airport. There were no concrete posts anywhere stopping that.
