Simply put, whenever the press can tie an SUV to anything bad they do so. People get in car accidents every day but the only time the body type of the vehicle is mentioned prominently is when it's an SUV.

People get in car accidents every day but the only time the body type of the vehicle is mentioned prominently is when it's an SUV.

SUVs are more likely to kill the people they hit, As was said before, f=ma and p=mv. That is why SUV owners pay higher on the liability part of the insurance.

The reason that SUVs are mentioned more, may be, quite simply, that there was a fatality.

Nothing to do with an SUV or Compact. The fact is a vehicle jumped a curb and now a woman is without her mother and one of her daughters. Some of the comments here are not appropriate at all. Some of them are downright disrespectful to those who are now gone. I would hope we could just say a prayer for the victims and leave it at that. Rest in peace.
