Has it come to this?
That's an old picture, it came to this some time ago.

That is what I can't understand, how the mothers could go along with that sort of thing. What a cute and sweet little baby. This is so obscene and sad. What kind of woman could go along with this? What a totally insane society.

Is it my imagination or is that baby blonde and not at all ME looking?
To: TheOtherOne
That cannot be a Palistinian baby. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Syria has thousands of blond haired, blue eyed, crazy ass arabs. So much for racial profiling I guess.
To: swarthyguy
thanks. those crazy Suicide Worshipers. what will they think of next?
To: sonserae
I resized the picture using Paintshop Pro, and while the eyes do appear to be blue it is really hard to tell, unless I don't know what I am doing. It looks indeed that the baby has blond hair

A great Israeli learder once said, "We can forgive you for killing our children, we cannot forgive you for making us kill your children".I believe that was Golda Meir.

had kids throw a molotov cocktail at a convoy in Mogadishu...we had an ROE discussion over it...when to cap the kid- while he/she was holding the bottle and the bic, or after it was lit...the children weren't very good at it, though...they stood too close to the vehicle as it passed-

Not the mention the fact that if the Israelis were doing this for propaganda purposes, they would find the darkest baby possible. I know plenty of Lebanese and Syrians with fair hair and eyes. The Muslims used to refer to them as 'Crusader children'.

It's still sickening to even have to discuss ROE like that. The fact that the other side uses children so casually...
Were you part of TF Ranger?

It looks indeed that the baby has blond hair I hate to say it, but it looks like a "doctored" picture to me. The baby resembles those on the Gerber packages.

the little darling's got such a light complexion-didn't know this was possible for pali's....racial profilin wouldn't seem to be feasible, in this instance.

I had blonde hair when I was young, and it's brown as heck now.

we supported the theater, including TFR...I was the senior maintenance warrant with a transportation company- oldest guy in the unit...I think this incident occurred about the same time TFR arrived...early Sept, if I recall right...convoys were easy targets because the linehaul trucks moved so slow through the city- they used everything on us, RPG's, command denotated mines, you name it...I've written a few pieces about it all, which has helped, but pictures of kids with arms/explosives, sadly enough, don't surprise me- how 'bout you? were you there?

No, I was in high school at the time. I became one of those Clinton-haters after I heard that Aspin denied the armor and AC-130 support to the troops despite Garrison's request.

I was a little upset myself...the gunship/close air support would have helped...but Les was just taking orders from the tower; the buck stopped with the President...there are always a lot of "ifs" associated with hindsight...perhaps if Garrison would have pushed harder for the heavy junk, or if the Oct. 3rd raid (timing aside) had not been conducted during the day, which negated our night capability advantage; if the second supersix hadn't gone down (Mike Durant's)...you get the point...I think we brought back from Mogadishu some incredibly valuable lessons, albiet written with blood- politics notwithstanding, I learned the true definition of honor, and duty, and I discovered, the hard way, that you can't always count on country...

The other side - the side that employs terrorists - declares people who walk into a supermarket or bus stop with a Semtex jacket to be "martyrs" and proceeds to make heroes out of them.
We honor those who try to rescue their fallen comrades, like Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart. I'll match our heroes up against any "heroes" that these Islamic fundamentalists anytime. I only hope we don't have to lose too many of them.
