Thanks for the ping. Just what is the agenda of the press in this country? Why do they have an agenda at all? Is it the job of the press to withold truth, embelish it, and at times lie to put forth their own agenda or politics? Or are they just simply for sale?

Just what is the agenda of the press in this country?
I think the answer depends on who owns the newspaper.
Why do they have an agenda at all?
Because they want readers who share their agenda to buy their newspaper. They don't believe that 40% of the country's voters are independents who would gladly buy a newspaper with NO agenda.
Is it the job of the press to withold truth, embelish it, and at times lie to put forth their own agenda or politics?
(a) apparently yes; (b) I would say yes, again; (c) and, yes, definately.
Or are they just simply for sale?
Yes, but think fewer and fewer voters buy what they sell.
Thanks for your post. Nice chatting with you, dalebert! :)!
