If guns are penis symbols, and psychologically extend a man's power, what does that say about those "men" who are gun-phobic? And what does it say about the women who turn away from guns in disgust?

"If guns are penis symbols, and psychologically extend a man's power, what does that say about those "men" who are gun-phobic?" Brainwashed with the flakier recent versions of feminism.
Is it "coincidence" that the only regions of the U.S. where male European-Americans support gun control are also the regions where flaky recent versions of feminism are the norm - NYC, coastal Kalifornia, urban Midwest?
Scandals of antigun politicians - with how-to guide for "outing!"

This is one of Miss Gorin's best pieces. I'm pleased to see it here, and puzzled that no one had posted it before.
Joseph Sobran used to offer his anti-gun acquaintances window stickers that said:
PLEASE NOTE:
This Is A Gun-Free HouseholdNo one ever took one from him. I wonder why?

? So if he can't touch a gun, he doesn't want other men to be able to either. And to achieve his ends, he'll use the only weapon he knows how to manipulate: the law. Yep. He's a sissy, but won't admit it. To be "fair", all men must become sissys. It's politically correct.
To: garibaldi
An apt metaphor for liberals in general, wanting to bring equality to all in helplessness and mediocrity. All but themselves, of course.
For he is guided by a dread fear for his life,......
Perhaps that is the rub, and I know many like that, not having reached an accomidation with death. Until one does, the fear of death dominates all actions and emotions, turning one in on himself as the only important existence. All else is threat.

I am sorry but I must disagree. Sissy went out in the 80"s. All men now are expected to be pussies.

I call it The Jerry Seinfeld Syndrome: urban cowards, huddled together in fear of everything -- cooks, cabbies, delivery men, elevator operators -- everything. Fearful, small, cringing excuses for people. And the thought that there are those of us who are not cowards enrages them beyond reason. We MUST NOT HAVE GUNS!

The anti-gun male, I think, is much like the draft dodgers of the Vietnam war era. The truth hurts but there are three reasons for a man the likes of a Clinton (anti-gun, draft dodger)
1. Afraid to die, but more than average. These men are in serious doubt of their ability to survive war combat or self defense combat. They are really scared and they can't help it.
2. Afraid of Basic Training. The Hollywood version of BCT (Basic Combat Training) scares the h*ll out them. Forced marches, bayonet training, live fire exercises, getting up at 4:00AM scares these men. They doubt they can make it. *
.3 Lack of status. These men were treated like officer class at home. They were mommy'd. To wind up in the army as a buck private is probably the worst immediate fear of all. To police the latrine with the rest of the masses. Bill's momma did not raise Bill to be in a latrine detail, but to be in charge of the latrine detail. These people wanted to go directly in with the rank of Captain and determine tactics though observe combat from a safe distance.
*(who among us that have gone through BCT and have survived these years in decent health, would not go through those eight weeks again, and laughingly know it was really a piece of cake)

"He often accuses men with guns of "compensating for something." That's true. Compensating for not being born with legs fast enough to out-run a bullet. I'd rather fight than 'swish.'
To: fporretto
I use a similar tactic. . . We had a neighbor who hit us up with the "Just Ask" campaign last year. We responded with a big, bright yellow sign for their front yard. "This home PROUDLY Gun-Free". If they'd leave it on their front lawn for a week, we'd answer as to whether we were armed or not.
They declined the opportunity. . .

Re: "gun free" sign:
Really? I have heard this discussed in the abstract, but never enacted.

So if he can't touch a gun, he doesn't want other men to be able to either."life is hard enough knowing there are men out there who don't sit cross-legged.
"this man does not know how to use a gun, he doesn't know the men who do,..
"he doesn't want to get shot in case he has an affair with your wife.
In short, he is a man begging for subjugation...his freedom lies in this other man's containment.
The real and ugly truth of gun control. It is a Neville Chamberlain movement.
Great posting, garibaldi.

I know people who don't like guns and I don't blame them. It's a difficult sport to master and not the most comfortable sport to enjoy. However, I do have a dislike for people who know nothing about the objects trying to claim to be an expert. That goes for the so-called experts in any field. One person can spend thirty years on the subject and another can sit down and read an article and claim to know more than the devotee.

Statistics show that most fatal accidents(which occur at home)take place in the bathroom.I don't want ONE MORE FATAL ACCIDENT TO OCCUR,THEREFOR I AM GOING TO GET THE GOVERNMENT TO BAN ALL VISITS TO THE BATHROOM!!This sounds pretty stupid,RIGHT???

I have one, primarily to shut up gun-grabbers. It's painted on the back of an old "Oliver North for Senate" sign, which infuriates liberals even more. . .
