Forget the 10 Americans killed and injured in the crash of an Air Force Special Operations MC-130H in Afghanistan this past week. Ignore the more than 200 other military and CIA fatalities and wounded suffered in the fight against al Qaeda thus far. The real victims of the War on Terrorism aren't soldiers, sailors, airmen or Marines. Nope, the people who are really suffering

Ping, bimp and bump!

Also, this article has been bookmarked for my home page. I will believe Ollie any time over some hysterical congressional rat or hysteric in a third party that hasn't even elected a congressman or senator.

Not quite morning here yet. We celebrated Fathers's day today on Saturday. It was great fun. My grand daughter (age 3) didn't really want me to keep my Father's Day Card and the envelope that she helped to decorate. I told her that it would be placed in special sack on a shelf in her "library" next to Papa's chair. She will check it out on her next trip up!

I hope that you have a good one.

Thanks for this article, and like I said, I will believe Ollie over any hysterical rats or third party whiners.

I had a great early father's day. My daughter and son-in-law will be brining my brand new grandson home from the hospital this afternoon.

Is this you first Grandson/child?

There is nothing like being a grand parent! God and your family just gave you the best father's day present you can have, a new grandbaby!

Congratulations!

I had a great time yesterday evening
with 2 of our 9 grandkiddies.

My soon to be 11 year old grand daughter
and her blond curly haired younger
sister who turned 6 on February 29.
She insisted that there be a chair between
Grandma and Grandpa reserved for her
so that she would have a place to return to
periodically and rest and get a few kind words
from the grandparents.

The occasion was the Concert in the Park
by the City Orchestra and it was very good.
Had pizza , and watermelon and a great time!

Sounds like a great day for Grampa Ernest and Gramma.

A couple of weeks ago our DIL and son hosted a third birthday party for our grand daughter/their daughter. There were 28 other kids from 1 to 6 at the party. Our Grand Daughter knew all of them and introduced many to us.

She would play with her friends and then come over to one us for a while to be held or to hold our hands. Then she would fly off to visit with more friends and then return to one of us. This went on all day. Her 15 month old brother would play with some of the kids and then attach himself like a leech to my wife or me for about 15 minutes. Then he would venture out again and would return to re attach himself.

Sometimes when our Grand Kids came back, they had to stand in line. Most of the other kids have no close grand parents, and we were adopted. Several had adopted us on previous visits and parties.
