Morning again. June 30 huh? We were out by May 30 so we could go work in the fields - at least that was the original thinking, but very few townies had any fields in which to work.

School would start after Labor Day, when supposedly all the crops were harvested or in the barn. ;-)

hi cookie
we didn't start till week after Labor Day
we got two weeks off at Christmas and Easter
so they made us stay in school till June 30th
I didn't know anyone got off earlier
till I moved to Tucson
I think we were gypped in NYC
