You're right but I could see even fewer getting the job done with just a little thought put into it.

There are way too many ways to cause major destruction in the U.S. without a lot of money, special equipment, training or even half a brain.

One idea for limiting the arson potential would be to suppress reporting of weather conditions that would be favorable to arsonists. The weather forecasts -- which come straight from a national agency if I'm not mistaken and are simply read to us by nice looking reporters as if they are their own predictions -- should be considered strategic military information. This is in fact what this information is.

I do not want to see any cutsie reporters reading a teleprompter telling me -- and all of the terrorists we have living comfortably in the US -- that over the next few days we will have strong Santa Ana winds. It's a shame that we are at this point of restricting weather forecasts but here we are. We have to deal with this.

Of course, I am certain that the government will never acknowledge terrorist arsons. They will say that the blaze is 'under investigation' but ultimately they will never say the word 'arson' or 'terrorist', just as they never use the word 'bomb' when a plane explodes in mid-air. But if we discuss this issue now, calmly before it happens, we can help to develop an action plan in the event that it does happen.
