I am going to ping you on any of these small clues on the immigration situation.
I am not talking about the Mexican situation. When I have information on that I will flag you to it.Please do, but let's put the potential wigglewords in bold:
The State Department, meanwhile, stopped letting in refugees from Somalia and elsewhere because it wanted new security checks. "We have to be very aware of who's coming into the U.S.," said Dan Kane, spokesman at the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
1. What about students and other non-refugees?
2. What does "and elsewhere" mean? Does that include Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? Iraq? Algeria? Syria? Yemen? Indonesia? Egypt?
Yeah, because that is the elephant, isn't it?
Hands down, the easiest way for terrorists and potential WMDs to get into America is across the Mexican border.
Any "crack-down" that ignores this is window-dressing, and the Bush Administration has exhibited considerable inaction in this regard.
