There are Egyptian frescoes where the wooly-haired dark skinned people are shown as captives, kneeling before Pharoah.

Actually ancient Egypt was a melting pot sort of place. The people of Sudan, a place better known then as upper Egypt (because it was "up" the Nile River), were included within the Kingdom of Upper and Lower Egypt oh, circa 2300 bce or thereabouts.

The ancient Pharoahs wore a crown that proved it, a red and white crown.

Slavery existed and slaves could come from anywhere, sub-Saharan Africa, Europe or the Middle East.

I guess if you read anything about what Dr. Malachi Z. York teaches, you would also know that he said that our original skin tone was of a more olive (which in nature we know Green is Good or God), it is stated that our olive tone because of the metal melanin in our skin rusted out over time because of the conditions of our planet. If you look at nature that happens to leaves, grass, and any green and over time that too looks brown. So to overstand him or his teachings you would have to do more than take a mere statement, you can get a much deeper overstanding by just taking a little time and really reading his works, compare the facts, and the truth shall make you free. All the painted frescoes "displayed" and used in shows and textbooks show olive skinned people with straight hair. That doesnt mean that All show that. There is a difference. White people do not want to acknowledge ANY example of black greatness or intelligence, ever. IT serves a purpose in the age of feel good "multi-culturalism" to promote the theory that those African were light Arabs or it was a multi cultural society. But thats not the reality, as anyone with two eyes can see when looking at the Shpinx, the Mask of Tutenkhamen or the images at Luxor carved into the stone. Why do those carvings, temples and massive works of art, which took years to design and complete only show BLACKS and consistently show BLACKS as deities in a multicultural society?
