In this bicentennial graduation, Bush told West Point graduates that they must protect and preserve American freedom at a time when terrorism puts it in jeopardy. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I love the way our President and First Lady look so happy when they're with our fine young men and women in uniform - and so special to for them to be with our newest, best and brightest.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer in close contact with them ...... :-(

We spent most of our adult lives in a small town in eastern NC ..... that's where our children were born and raised. There was a family in our church whose youngest daughter was just a year younger than our daughter. She was a real pistol when she was growing up. Since we moved away, we have heard that she gave herself to the Lord, got married, and decided to enter the ministry. Then her hubby got transferred to the DC area to pilot Marine 1 .... and she's in divinity school up there.

I saw her mother just briefly a few weeks ago when we went back for a homecoming but didn't really have a chance to sit and talk with her ..... but she did confirm the facts.

One of these days, we are all going to be at the White House when Marine One comes in for a landing. Can you imagine? What a hoot that would be?

Had a fantastice sermon today by a fifteen year old! (youth day at church) He spoke on martyrdom of christian,and from the Christian propective. Very thought provoking. Well read and very biblical.
