"My literature review contradicts the policies of major mental health organizations because it suggests that sexual orientation, once thought to be an unchanging sexual trait, is actually quite flexible for many people, changing as a result of therapy for some, ministry for others and spontaneously for still others." It's never spontaneous. The subject must have had to think about it for quite a while before seemingly spontaneously changing.
The rest of this statement is quite valid, though.

The truth surely reaches these academics slowly, doesn't it...? I remember hearing about this trend for the first time over 3 years ago...

I never understood how fairies and their advocates can claim that faggitude isn't curable. Sexual orientation is immutable, they claim, but sexual equipment, isn't. Thus, a female born in a male's body is granted permission to make the change, but a fairy born in a male's body, isn't. It seems illogical to me. But, I also don't understand where the advocates of a pattern of behavior, behavior that is, at worst, perversion, and, at best, aberrant, got so much power in such a short time. "Alternative life style" is marketing talk for, "We are looking for clean, fresh meat."

Wow. You're intelligent. They're Christian therefore they don't count. With ignorant people like you, who needs liberals?

"The APA's professionalism in handling this research is commendable and I think it demonstrates the APA's willingness to explore all sides of this important matter," Throckmorton said...kudos to Dr. Throckmotton - and the APA - they were in such turmoil about the issue of inborn vs. acquired and so under the influence of the PC crowd just a few years ago that their statement of ethical principles was rewritten in tortured language which made it almost an ethical violation to treat homosexuals focusing on their sexual orientation. That they are now publishing such works as Dr. Throckmorton's marks real progress - not even the APA can hide from the truth forever.....
Hey, if gays can recruit, why can't straights?

OK. I had always connoted (is that a word?) it to be suddenly, but I can accept that definition.

This study will be buried deeper than a coal miner's crap. You may be right. Perhaps we can keep the issue alive by telling everyone we know and bumping this thread often. I've sent the original article to everyone I know.

The headline should have been "APA Journal Publishes the Truth About Curing Perversion!"
