That is your interpretation. To me she was just upset of Alan's usurping all the time - she finally realized she and the others were there only as a backdrop to his serminazing. That is why she did not answer - she refused to be a pawn.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Elders had just been asked how she could endorse a book that advocated pedophilia, while she was speaking out against the very abuse. The question had been put to her quite well, and both Keyes and the CWFA rep., Sandy Rios, waited in silence for her to respond. Her mouth simply gaped open, and she had no reply.

Her flustered reaction was not due to mistreatment at all, but rather to her inability to defend her contradictory statements.

I thought Keyes did quite well tonight, and let his guests have plenty of time to make their points. He went into depth with the question to Elders concerning maturity in the youth because it was something she would not acknowledge. Elders’ position was, “We need more sex education.” But obviously stuffing children’s heads with a bunch of facts about human reproduction is no substitute for the maturity needed to be able to choose the greater good in place of temporary physical satisfaction.

My recallection was that she tried to respond several times but Keyes kept parrying her attempts with "Let me finish". When he finally let her speak she made an intentional pause. You may interpreted it as she saw the light in Keyes arguement and it made her speechless but the truth is she could care less what he or anyone was saying - she had her own agenda and she was not about to be persuaded. The pause was intended as a payback for keeping her silent. After the pause she did accuse Keyes of sermonizing.

Funny how different people see Alan's style. Some think he's overbearing. I have often found myself screaming at the tv, "What are you waiting for, Alan? Nail the SOB! Don't let him rattle on like that. Who's show is this? Go for the throat!" LOL!
