When I self search for my comments, I am only seeing one page of my most recent comments. I don't see anyway to find my older comments on this site. How can I do that?

Try clicking on show more posts. It should be at the bottom of the page.

Don't you have a show more link at the bottom of you comments?

I don't see such a link at the bottom of the first page of my posts, but someone just sent me freeper email, with a link that went to a page of my most recent posts, and had such a link to my earlier posts at the bottom. I'm still playing around to see how to get to that link he sent all by myself. I will post again in a few minutes, when I make sense of it, if someone else doesn't read my mind and clarify the confusion first.

You must have your Thread Pagination set at 20!
Go to settings (just to the right of self search on an article thread like this) and up it to 250 and you will get many more and will see ....more .... at the bottom of the list ... allowing you to get .... even more!

Aha - when I click on the link for anyone else, it goes to their home page, and at the top, just below the Beta invitation, are links for me to send them mail or find them in the forum. But when I click on the link for myself, a similar page comes up, with these two links (mail and find) replaced by four links, to edit various FR information about myself. So it seems that I can get to everyone's old posts but my own. Strange.

No - I have my preferences set to see 100 out of 250 max. I am afraid that neither limit would be sufficient -- I have spent far too many hours on this wonderful site the last couple of years.

Try Self-Search at the top or bottom of the page.

Click on "New Posts to You" at upper right of any topics page. You may have this answer but it didn't take long to type this.

"New Posts to You" is a misnomer. It appears after every new post you make, not just every one you get.

"New Posts to You" at upper right of any topics page also shows your posts for at least the last few days. I don't know how far back it goes.

I usually use "Self-search", but that only gets the most recent whatever (50 or 100) posts, with no means to go back further that I can see.

When I self search for my comments, I am only seeing one page of my most recent comments. I don't see anyway to find my older comments on this site. How can I do that? Is there a place to submit bug reports at FR? I've come across two bugs on the "My Comments" pages. (Well, one is a bug, the other may be better characterized as a limitation.)
Here's the bug: Sometimes a page of my comments doesn't have a "Show more posts..." link at the bottom, even though there are more posts available. There is a work-around for this bug. The URL should look something like this:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/my/comments?more=17356281
-- play around with the number at the end (make it smaller), and you'll find your older posts. [My guess is that this might be an error which occurs when tags aren't closed in someone's post, and the FR software fails to correct the HTML. But I'm really just guessing here.]
The limitation is that the "My Comments" pages do not include all of my old posts, only those going back to November or so.

At the end of your comments you will see SHOW MORE POSTS, click that.
To: luvbach1
Yeah - it's a misnomer - but that's no biggie. It's another way to get to the "Self-search" aka "My comments" screen, that happens to work if there is anything new on that page since you last visited it (whether to or from you - the misnomer part).

New Posts to You" is a misnomer. It appears after every new post you make, not just every one you get. That is quite annoying. It seems self-defeating. I would much rather just see posts TO me. That would make the function worthwhile.

Knew that, but I gave poster that reference to get his/her own posts. FR named the link, not me.
