Memorial Day bump.
To: sarcasm
This still puts a lump in my throat and makes me cry, out of sorrow and anger. These people were trying to make a living; not hurting anyone. These animals that did this and those that condone it, should fry in h*ll. They have irrevocably changed people's lives. Everytime I hear an apologist on a talking head show try to make excuses for these animals, I have to turn it off.

Thank you.
Bookmarked for my grandchildren...
for when they are older....
to give them better understanding.
BTTT!

I am touched to the core by this thread ... once again ... as reveries of visiting Ground Zero in January changed me forever.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET! &;-)

"A tough read. I'm too tightened up to even comment on the article. This horror will stay in my consciousness forever"
You have expressed my feelings too. I'm going to print this out and keep it in a binder I have which is filled with the 8-part series of Washington Post stories re what the White House was doing during the days following this attack. I also have printed out some of the photos which I got off the internet. Every Memorial Day I'm going to get out that binder and re-read all of this - I will never forget!

The most important thing any of us can do is to remember each and every one of them. We will see justice served, we will.

Is there a cyber-wall with a list of the victims?

... and the heros
To: MinuteGal
I am with you! I am somewhere between total rage and overwhelming sadness. :-(
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
This sends Bunker into the same rage that the photos of the planes going into both buildings did. The photos are back now, for one reason. To direct people's anger toward Bush and his staff.Wow, I can't disagree with you more. This article reminds me of how lucky we are to have competent adults at the helm, and not a Gore Administration.

Is there a cyber-wall with a list of the victims? There are tons of "memorial" pages, none of which are "official." If you're just looking for an actual list of victims, try here.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I'm happy about the adults we have at the helm. I've got uncontrolled anger, however, at the Muslim nut jobs who carried out the attacks and the liberal press who decided three days after the attack to no longer use any video or photos of the actual attacks. You see, they didn't want to stir up anymore anger at the terrorists.
Well the pictures and video are back this week. Unfortunately, they are now attached to headlines that say "What did Bush Know and When?" Now the slime feel they can use the material - when it can be used to stir up emotion toward the Bush administration.
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
I agree with your assessment, Archie. The timing is not coincidental.

I'm going to print this out tomorrow for the kids to read (they are all 20+) plus some other articles and pictures. My book on Guadalcanal and Leyte Gulf where my two great uncles were killed in WWII will be right beside it.
We cannot ever forget!!!
