2nd Lady Furious at Terrorist Targeting NY-Calls Hillary's Senate Behaviour 'Outrageous'
Sean Hannity Program and NewsMax ^ | May 21, 2002 | Carl Limbacher

The Second Lady fired away at administration critics, (on the Sean Hannity Program this afternoon) including former first lady Hillary Clinton who suggested last week the Bush Cheney White House ignored evidence the 9/11 attack was coming.

'It was outrageous, I'll say that,' she told Hannity.

'To suggest any president would have had information that that he could have acted on to prevent Sept. 11 and not acted is beyond the pale.'

Ms. Cheney was in New York to promote her book, 'America:A Patriotic Primer, when asked to respond to the latest terrorist alert.

Notice something else: in all his pictures, he is NEVER looking at the people around him; he's always looking for the camera.

Nobody said anything about hating GW until you did. I'm tired of your nonsensical posts about how impossible it would be to seal our borders and to deport the illegals that don't belong here, but you have a right to post your opinions without being personally attacked and called names and so does Betty Jo.

You pontificate from Indiana about issues that have to do with defending our national sovereignty. When was the last time you were anywhere near the U.S./Mexican border?

You've said, on other threads, that landscaping companies, like the one your son works for, need more immigrant laborers to keep the costs down. If they don't get those immigrant laborers, that will work cheap, then their business customers will either do the landscaping themselves or let it go. Then you say businesses can't let it go, because Indiana law says they must maintain their landscaping. Which is it?

What's probably closer to the truth is some landscaping companies in Indiana need more immigrant laborers, so they can steal another landscaping company's business away from them on price, alone. Doesn't that just make your position on illegal immigration and border security a crock?

Doesn't that make you, as Tancredo said, just another 'cheap labor Republican'?

I believe it does, but I don't have any more right to tell you to shut up than you have to tell Betty Jo to shut up. That goes for alot of your fellow Bush supporters, on FR, as well.

I thank Bill O'Reilly for Tancredo's appearance on his show and for the open invitation he extended to Tancredo. The question we should be asking is does Bush know about the Mexican military's incursions across our border, their firing on our Border Patrol Agents and when did he know it?

When's Bush going to put a stop to these overt 'acts of war'?

The president of the most powerfull nation on earth is powerless to get rid of terrorists who want to kill me and my children and my grandchildren, and I am supposed to like it?

Do you think we like it? If it was possible to prevent every human from strapping a bomb to himself and going to a place were there are many other people - don't you think everyone would? How do you prevent any of the millions of people from wanting to kill themselves and others?

If you want to prevent terrorists from renting apartments and loading them with explosives and setting that off - just how would you do it if you had no information on where - when. Do you prevent anyone from renting apartments? Do you put spies in each and every apartment?

If crazies want to put themselves in a freight container from Europe, have the container shipped to a port in the U.S. and blow themselves up - just what do you do about it?

Now, when you come up with a way to stop each and every one of the above, please let the government know the answer.

Facts of life are - that no one can totally prevent radicals from killing anyone they chose. You too could go to any country, strap a bomb on yourself, go to a mall and blow yourself up killing others.

We don't like it - I doubt that anyone is happy with this situation. President Bush mounted a war effort to go after them, talked with all countries to get others to go along with us, constantly negotiates aid from other nations, has fired up the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, Military Forces, called up the Reserve to solve this problem.

The fact that these terrorists are all over the world AND in the U.S.A. as sleeper agents waiting for their call to act is why we are in this situation. Not because Bush and Cheney are "unable to protect us".

Your anger should be against the terrorists, against the countries that would support them, against the liberals and democrats that prevent us profiling, prevent us from taking actions to hold suspected people and spend their time claiming "Bush Knew" while Bush has been working since he came into office to prevent this exact happening.

There are 52 registered Socialist Democats in the house of Reps. These people are enemies of the Constitution they swore to defend from enemies, fom wihout and within. They are guilty of pergury.

Socialism: A stage of society in Marxis theory transitional between capialism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.

People like Hillary chose Communism because they think it"s he best way to keep inelligent people in charge Who are entitled to just rewards from their charges for their services.

We should be angry at Bush and all of the others, you mentioned, that are guilty of not moving to secure our borders.

In the wake of 9/11, the President could have put the military on our borders, instead he sent them to the airports. Sending the troops to airports, alone, was useless.

Nobody can stop 100% of all illegal immigration, but we could stop 99% of it and we could see that alot more than 4% of all containers that enter our country are inspected.

We can profile the container ships approaching our coasts the same way we could profile passengers trying to fly on our airlines and students that want to take flying lessons at our flight schools. Sure there are race-baiting, pandering politicians that will rant an rave. We need a President with the spine to stand up to them.

That President isn't going to be Bush.

Tancredo's right, Bush will have the blood of the next victims of a terrorist attack on his hands. Bush is not doing all he could.

This country needs to secure it's borders, immediately.

Speaking of The Sixth Sense, can you explain to me the meaning or significance of the Spanish spesking man on the tape recorder? I never understood the relevance of that as Bruce Willis' character listened to the tape and seemed shocked or terrified?

Have you bothered to read the Aviation Security law that Bush signed?

1. Armed pilots.

Recently President George W. Bush signed into law the Aviation and Transportation Security Act, a portion of which allows for airline pilots to be armed.

Source

There are also several bills in Congress that address this issue. Stun guns are being recommended for pilots at this point, along with an increase in armed Air Marshals.

2. Secure cockpits.

Make $500 million in grants available to the airline industry for development and deployment of advanced cockpit security measures including reinforced and lock doors, advanced electronics for monitoring the status of flights in progress and development of technology allowing ground controllers to take control of endangered aircraft, even landing them safely under remote control.

Source

In the days immediately following September 11th, we took a number of steps to develop and deploy heightened security, some of them readily visible to the public, some of them more behind the scenes. We immediately made funds available to the aviation industry to fortify cockpits, and all major domestic carriers made the needed modifications by the first of November.

Source

3. Sky Marshalls. Greatly expand the federal Air Marshal program, placing armed, plain clothed federal officers on more flights.

Source

The "On board, on duty" goal for the Federal Air Marshal Program entails getting several thousand new air marshals trained and deployed on flights by June 1, 2002, although the exact number will remain classified.

Source

4. PROFILING!

On March 20, US Attorney General John Ashcroft announced that the Justice Department is expanding its “voluntary interview” program, with plans to question 3,000 more mainly Muslim and Arab immigrants. The interviews will target men ages 18 to 33 who have entered the country since September 11 and hold passports from or have visited countries where the Bush administration says there is a significant Al Qaeda presence. Civil liberties and Arab-American groups have denounced the plan as a form of racial profiling and an attack on democratic rights.

Source

5. Deportion of illegals.

Blame the lawyers...

The Justice Department will try to eliminate the backlog of 56,000 cases pending before the Board of Immigration Appeals, Attorney General John Ashcroft said Wednesday...Attorneys are filing bogus appeals for deportable aliens to prolong their stay in the United States, he said. "The backlog gives unscrupulous lawyers the incentive to file frivolous appeals," Ashcroft said at a department news conference announcing rule changes for the board. The result of such frivolous appeals is that 314,000 aliens have been judged deportable by the board but have disappeared into the U.S. population during those lengthy appeals, he said. "We cannot and we will not allow an administrative bottleneck to threaten our national security," Ashcroft said.

Source

The new rule changes are discussed at that website.

Cheney made Halliburton look good by changing accounting practices to allow disputed costs of large projects to be counted as revenue. This policy shift was endorsed by Arthur Anderson. Investors were kept in the dark about it for over a year. The purpose was to obscure losses. Look before you leap.

Haliburton was doing really well, they didn't need to cover up losses. They had contracts to build pipelines all over the world. As a matter of fact I met some Russians who were working for Haliburton, building a pipeline somewhere in the former Soviet Union.

I am not bashing Cheney or Halliburton. I have a close connection to the latter and respect for the former. But, the fact is that they did change accounting practices to obscure potential losses. It was done this way....large project cost over runs were carried as revenue, even though the over runs were almost always disputed and very often not paid in full. The nub of it is that Halliburton would show revenues of (eg) $100million but $40million of that could be over run. If the over run were not paid then the actual revenue (which investors did not see) would be $60million. AA endorsed this policy change which did occur on Cheney's watch.

"What are you smoking?-Gimme some!"

You've obviously, already smoked more than your share of wacky weed.

You don't know apples from oranges.

After the attack on 9/11, Bush could have claimed the emergency authority to seal our borders. Who, in their right mind, would have objected?

What the hell does that have to do with Bush's judicial nominees?

Why don't you go help Miss Marple get a clue?

LOL.

Since when is making money off oil or any other commodity a crime in the USA?

Since the hate America and free enterprise liberal flakes found a divisive issue to feed their class warfare politics.

All the while they are enjoying the benefits made possible by oil companies, and are filling up their cars daily, in fact helping to make these people rich while they point their hypocritical fingers at them.
You Democrats are pathetic.
