According to the official TAX CODE, most of your income is not taxable. Free info -- great reading. I personnaly still pay taxes because I am a chicken, but I know people who have not been paying for years, and the IRS seems too scared to actually call them on it. They get hauled in for interviews, then nothing comes of it.

GREAT READING -- REALLY ENTERTAINING.

This guy does not make a nickel from his anti-IRS obsession. He just enjoys intelectually sticking it to the IRS. There may be some mailing and printing costs if you want them to send you hard copies, but all the info is available on the website for free.

Fascinating!

According to Section 61(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended (26 U.S.C. 61(a)), gross income includes all income, except for items of income that are specifically excluded. The base for the income tax is taxable income, which is defined in Section 63 as gross income minus allowable deductions.
