saavy Dems ...Hmmm....there do seem to be some mighty big cracks around the edges! And to think....ol joe six pack out here is still wondering why bill klinton refused to take custody of Osama bin pigpen when Sudan rang up and made the offer to turn him over to United States custody. Golly-no Osama running around, no Sept 11 massacre.
Interesting.
Dems want to get angry over dots prior to 9/11 not getting connected, when the BIG KAHUNA, ol osama the pig, could have been neutered without as much power as it takes to destroy and aspirin factory.

I hope you are right. But I think the Dems are going to hammer on this with all the energy that they used to PROTECT Clinton -- and the media lizards are going to back them up.

I just watched FOX an hour ago and Graham, Bayh, and Pious Joe were all backtracking and admonishing their more exuberant peers. There is plenty of evidence that Congress was informed of these vague threats within 24 hours of the President.
Now obviously the media sans FOX and a few others will make a determined run but all the polls I've seen indicate at least 2/3 of the public trust Bush in this matter. I do think the Pubbies should play a little hardball and damn I wish Bush would step up to the bully pulpit. He is too damn frugal with political capital for my taste.
Now if he knew more and did NOTHING and this could be proven then it is a problem but not telling the American public about every terrorist threat we recieve is not gonna tank him. We did not even know the Great Liar had the opportunity to nab Osama in Sudan till years later. The Great Liar's mistakes and ineptness in terrorism matters offers much more meaty scandal thus far than do Bush's alleged mis-steps..at this point.

Bank on it: Whatever mis-steps Bush may make, they pale in comparison to Clinton's trail of negligence.

Yep, Clinton's foreign policy may have been worse than Carter. Hard to imagine I know. He sure liked firing off missles and non-defined open ended entaglements though didn't he?....particularly for a draft dodger on record despising the military. Both of those clowns make me ashamed as a Southerner....and an American.

But the same liberal media has yet to ask Bill and Hillary Clinton why they left America blind to potential attacks and why they destroyed the CIA's intelligence operations. The Clinton's, not only loathed the military, they loathed the intelligence agencies and improperly funded them, to the detriment of America herself.

After reading Pruden's article and scanning the news websites I am starting to agree.
The problem the Dems have is they can't really dump on Bush about this without dumping on themselves and Clinton even harder.
Today's quote of the day by Backhoe says it better than I can.

The media is going to hammer away, but the dems are going to be backing away so fast their heads will spin.
Yesterday they were acting as if the picture of the President on AF One was the end of the world, today, a new topic for hysterical ranting. NO ONE CARES what the dems say anymore.

Locator bump... in the FWIW dept., talk radio was going berserk over this yesterday. The calls started in the morning, grew as the day progressed, and by afternoon had become a torrent.
Good God, people were mad!
It was nice to hear that kind of outrage for a change.

All OBL had to do was send veiled virgins to the Oval Office to give Bubba BJs and the Prez (barf!) would have probably put OBL in the foreign aid budget. If there was someone responsible for 9/11 it's Klintoon.

Hey Gary, You could have told us..."Did you not read "Unlimited Access"?
Aldrich DID tell us, and the Clinton Spin Machine in the media went about destroying him and his credibility right away as "some partisan, slanderous hack" trying to get rich by sticking a fork in the Clintons.
Reading the book again, now that they're gone, it isn't hard to see who was telling the truth! If only the Clinton loving/covering up media were held accountable for suppressing Aldrich and his warning signs we wouldn't be having to listen to the likes of Hitlery wrongfully chastising Bush for sitting on them.

Obviously Clinton bears repsonsibility for 9-11. However, the media is not about to pound on this. IMHO the moment they saw the Clinton connection, for example, to Enron they lost interest in the story. Same thing here.

The public is not buying this crap from the Dems and most of the media and the saavy Dems are already breaking rank. What this incident has done is demolish any pretense of political neutrality of the media. They needed all that spin to slow the descent after jumping over the edge with it. They did not even stop to ask where this was going, or how far down it was to the bottom. They just jumped like lemmings.
