If it is the food from Egypt that officials suspect, why do they have residents from the apartment building and the area still using the Church as a shelter?

Convergence of the time and space continuum reveals personal truths. Look at the time of your post-- 31 minutes later. 3+1=4, and nearly 4 hrs later MnM posted on this thread, and UMB posted 4x after that.
If the food, in Yonkers, is so bad you practically have to call out the army and seal off the premesis, this hyper-vigilance will rattle everyones' nerves as we look at the numbers and make scents of the whole situation.

Sodium Nitrite Blamed in Yonkers Tainted Food Outbreak Health officials are blaming the chemical sodium nitrite for a sudden illness that sickened six people in downtown Yonkers earlier this week. Westchester County Health Department spokeswoman Mary Landrigan says the victims ingested the chemical from a packet labeled "refined iodized table salt." But the packets were instead full of sodium nitrite. Sodium nitrite is found in preservatives such as hot dogs and can be deadly if ingested in large quantities. Health officials identified the victims as adults of Egyptian heritage. They were at a dinner party featuring a dish with many ingredients, including a processed food that they had brought in from Egypt. Five of the victims remain in the hospital.
