Justice would execute all the rapists but justice is not served in the American prison system.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant,
we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

I've noted that the media which has been excoriating the Catholic Church for not ejecting those homosexual priests is the same media which has excoriated the Boy Scouts for not accepting homosexual scout leaders.

The number of AIDS cases must be one of the prison system's best-kept secrets.

just wait till the "They deserve to get raped" crowd shows up...It went from "Don't do the crime if you can't do the crime" to "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time and get raped".

Many here will say they deserve it as a just reward for their crimes. Ok, depending upon their crime, I might even agree.

Nonetheless, I see a need to seperate the convicted violent criminal from the non violent ones...and this is surely one.

Where are the "guards" anyway?

"A few of the victims have sued the prisons successfully, but No Escape explains why such suits are hard to win. The victims have to prove that the prison officials knew of the risk to the victims and did nothing to protect them."

I hope we can put a system in place where criminals start winning these suits. Prisons are well aware of the risks. Someone sentenced to 2 years deserves two years in a very basic jail, not 9 months of gang rapes. The system will only change once state and federal prison funds are redirected to vacation homes for trial lawyers.

Is this story a suprise to anyone? I thought these depridations were common knowledge. When did the practice of saltpeter fall out of favor to keep this from happening? I suppose when the rights of each individual started being held above the rights of the community, whether that community be your hometown or your local prison.

This is why, even though we are taxed through death and beyond, I grit my teeth and pay and would rather overpay than take any chances that the feds are going make me fight for the sanctity of my sphincter

Since prisoners get all sorts of things like tv, reading material, workout rooms, outside time, etc., I don't know why I should really give a care. At least those that are raped will actually be punished and never forget the pain.

Tom Selec made a movie years ago (Wrongfully Accused?) in which he was raped, killed his agressor and was freed and went back to his airport job with a smile on his face.

But the media have paid no attention to a book-length report by an organization called Human Rights Watch titled No Escape

The problem IS that it's liberalism and outfits like "Human Rights Watch" that got us to the point where this is accepted behavior, where society BREEDS these kind of animals, where prisons are day-spa's for lifting weights, watching tv and buggering white boys. Rape was once a capital crime. Now these perps know society doesn't mean business about ANYTHING (unless it is a politially incorrect or hate crime.)

THEN when the do-gooders see what their handiwork over the last half-century has wrought, they wring their hands and rend their clothes and cry out in agony! Well, hell, you friggin idiots---the situation is U.S. prisons, the state of crime in the United States is 100% the result of 50 years of liberalism. Coddling criminals and creating a CLASS of criminals, financed by government, incenting criminals and rewarding criminals----THAT is why there is homosexual rape in prison.

Focusing on homosexual rape in prison is like like treating the headache of a person with a grapefruit-sized brain-tumor.

Was this supposed to have been a big secret?

Did anyone else see "Office Space". This was a major reason why Peter, Michael and Samir didn't want to go to prison.

I think some of the exampled cited in this article are urban legend. Inmates "owning" other inmates, dressing them up like women and renting them by the hour? C'mon! But having read several books on prison life, I have no doubt that homosexual rape and other forms of sexual harrassment in prison are fairly common. None of this should be tolerated, of course. All our prison inmates serving out a sentence should be treated humanely and should not be put in a position where they can be raped or sexually abused. Any prison inmate engaging in predatory sexual behavior should have his prison term extended and be locked in a cell 24/7 for the duration. By removing these animals from the general population, the other inmates will be able to serve out their sentences with some dignity and hopefully have the chance to return to society reformed, and without a lot of emotional baggage.

"Taylor says that whites are the targets of blacks and Hispanics"

But if it were the Blacks who were getting raped by whites there would be a full scale Senate investigation.

John Ascroft's Justice department would follow.

But NO!!!!!All they care about are politicaly correct non violent profiling.

What I can't understand is this apparent need in some that call themselves "conservative" to look out for the "needs" of convicts. You can call me "callous" I don't care.

Also, let's say this is something conservatives should be worried about. Exactly how do you propose stopping it? Lengthening sentences? Yeah, that'll work for lifers. Not to mention it'll put a nice burden on our already overworked justice system, as the perpetrator will have to be proven guilty of these rapes in a court of law.

The only way to stop this is to have cameras in every part of the prision, and have individual cells. Do any of you who feel such compassion for the convict really want to see more tax dollars go to such a project, when there are problems with our country today that have nothing to do with criminals?
