NOT true! In the early 1900's communism was having a hard time getting a foothold in the USA. Progressive was substituted for the word communism to make it more palatable for the sheep.

Progressive means Communist. Communists invented the word as used in the political sense.

Communists did not invent the word progressive and until this century hated and fought the Progressive Party as it existed in this country. Or do you pretend The Ole Bullmoose was a communist?

Only around the 30s was the word expropriated by Marxists.
