If YOU were in charge, would you help the terrorists succeed, or would YOU try to deny them the result they crave. It is obvious what is going on. I think there's a very good chance this was a most unusual accident, although I'm not ready to say it was NOT a terrorist act. But what you say makes a lot of sense and might explain what's going on. If I were in charge, you are correct, I would do my utmost to foil the terrorists' plans.

I don't really mind if the governments get together and decide it's best for everyone not to highlight the tragic reality of this act.
Please just don't expect us to smile while we're swallowing such stupid cover.

According to one of the earlier posts - this building is "above" the railway station. So, it's after office hours (just) and people are headed to the trains - hey - let's bring down the building on the railway station!

Could a 75 year old pilot die of a heart attack?

Michael? Is that you? </Possible Rivero Sighting>
To: Gorest Gump
The Pennslyvania plane was delayed 40 minutes on the runway, that was what gave them time to mount an attack.

I agree with you completely. Smoke in the cockpit is the only thing I can think of. Any pilots on this thread that think you would have hit this building dead center, full throttle, straight and level on a clear day. Sound off.

Personally to be in touch with popular colors...It should be Sage

How come you haven't answered my question yet? How does a plane, which you are assuming was being flown by a 70-year old man who could have suffered a heart attack (although he was just on the radio calling in an SoS minutes before and KNEW he was having trouble) have no one behind the controls and still manage to fly STRAIGHT into a building?

Is Code Brown between Orange and Red or just Yellow? I believe it's between the left leg and the right leg.

If they know his age why not release his name? That occured to me too, but they are possibly withholding it to notify (and question) next-of-kin.

BTW: Don't give me any of that "you are not an expert" crapola. I've spent lots of time flying in the Air Force, and what I just posted is obvious to anyone who knows how to fly. Which will make you look just that much more or a "Somebody who doesn't know what he's talking about" when this DOES turn out to be an accident! I spent lots of time flying on American Airlines, but that doesn't make me an expert!

Well that wasn't what my reference was to. But those idiotic shower jokes at the start of this thread were out of line. Like I said before, this story wasn't simply some airline terminal evacuated because a screener fell asleep, or a tornado warning thread. After 9/11, "plane crashes into building" is different from those.
To: Doctor Stochastic
Obviously. Is that his age? Definately, I mean?
To: DJ88
maybe he thought he could crash into the building a few hundred feet up, get out of the plane and take the elevator down instead of crashing into the streets below.

And ACCELERATING to boot...
Fox local Italian journalist talking about a second explosion after the plane strike.
To: DJ88
Unlimited visibility? Hard to believe that this could happen, especially since many people that work in tallest building are justifiably paranoid due to recent events.
An accident? Possible. But if I had to bet, I would bet against it.
To: DJ88
If this is a terrorist act, it must have been done by the Jihad farm team, because in comparrison to 9/11 it is pretty lame.
