US Republicans Support Israel: Poll

By Melissa Radler

NEW YORK: Republicans are significantly more supportive of Israel than Democrats, according to a Gallup poll published yesterday.

The survey of 1,009 adults conducted on April 5-7 found that 67 percent of Republicans side with Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, compared to 45% of Democrats. Support for the Palestinians is at 8% among Republicans, versus 21% among Democrats.

While 54% of white Americans support Israel and 12% support the Palestinians, support dropped to 38% among non-white Americans, including blacks, with one quarter of minorities in the US supporting the Palestinians.

American Jews voted for Al Gore, the Democratic candidate, over President George W. Bush by a margin of four-to-one in the last presidential election.

Don't waste your breath. The hypocracy of Jews will leave you breathless.

If the United States tortured a man for info the Jews would scream bloody murder. If Isreal does the same thing they cheer and scream "Six million, never again!!"

It makes me ill.

Please don't say all Jews would do what you said. There are quite a few Jewish people here on FR who would disagree with you statement and I know some Jewish people who are slowly but surely coming to realize who is doing what to whom...

Find me a roomful and I'll be convinced. I may know 1 or 2 Republicans at my synagogue, outside of them I have to pinch my nose to avoid breathing in too much liberalism.

Except where Israel is concerned, of course, then everyone is John Wayne.
