U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell had what he called a "useful and constructive" meeting Sunday with Yasser Arafat at the Palestinian leader's besieged West Bank headquarters.

The meeting, which was expected to last one hour, went on for more than three hours. Powell said that he and Arafat discussed a variety of ideas, and that aides to both men would hold follow-up meetings on Monday.

Arafat has already stuck his finger up twice at the US after the Powell Appeasement.

They have already stated they will continue the homocide bombings AND refuse to defuse the Church takeover.

In the old days, the US stood strong for morals.

The Barbary Wars

America and the Barbary Pirates

Today:

"Yassir, This is Colin Powell, on my Terrorist Appeasement Tour,
and I'm here to save you.
My State Dept. has forms D-156 made up for each of your terrorist friends.
Come on in.
"

Just before the meeting at one of the main mailboxes for terror in the world,
Colin Powell on his Terrorism Appeasement Tour
demonstrates how democracies should properly surrender
to any bomb-toting terrorists, airplane hijackers,
and pirates who kill innocent civilians unprovoked (Jerusalem, 4/13/02).

It is called "strategery".

This FReeper trusts that President Bush, who has ALL the current, top-secret, "have-to-kill-you-if-I-tell-you" information, and who has been an outstanding leader, is doing the right thing.

President Bush said "We will not tire. We will not falter. We will not fail." And this FReeper believes him and takes him at his word.

By the Powell Mission, he has shut up his critics at the same time he has demanded Arafat to do something Arafat WILL NOT DELIVER. Arafat is a Dead Man Walking once he is seen leading ANY future terrorist activity. It is PUT UP or SHUT UP at this point-- the Powell mission was the LAST ACT OF DIPLOMACY TOWARDS THIS CREATURE. And no one can make a legitimate argument that we didn't GIVE YASSER A CHANCE.

Meanwhile, in a galaxy not far away, we have bigger, nastier, much scarier fish to fry. GIANT UGLY FISH that are rapidly, secretly, with-all-their-hearts trying to get Weapons of Mass Destruction ready to use against America and Civilization. (They are saying "PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN"-- Saddam Hussein who is orchestrating much of the current MidEast violence).

Paltry, Putrid, Piss-ants like Yasser Arafat can be dealt with at the appropriate (read "later") time.

Again, it is called "strategery".

Well said.

I saw the film of the start of both the Arafat and Sharon meeting today: Powell was purposely looking grimly into the camera, and not at Arafat, who was seated directly across the table. At the Sharon meeting he was smiling and joking with Sharon as he walked into the room. Body language is very interesting.
