These are clever faked press releases spread over the Internet to promote a new sci fi movie, starring George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, and Clint Eastwood.
I swear.

"The U.S. government said it will seek to block the airing of a video..."
"Federal officials agreed to allow an uncensored version of RAISING ATLANTIS to go on sale..." Do either of these statements get anyone's hackles up?
The rest of the subject matter may be fiction for all anyone knows but the issues raised by these statements are very real and should not be ignored.

SHE is one of the missing I hope they find her fast!
(I don't care if she's an enviroweenie, I'd paint mine green for her!)

They did the same thing for the film "X-Men". They set up a site about a U.S. Senator who decried the existence of mutants. He got his.

Gotta be a movie - if she's 27, then I'm 12.

No matter how far fetched the issue, when government tries to censor it, and witnesses are missing, there's room for a million questions. If it were nothing, the goverment would not bother to get involved with a fiction video. Therefore, it should be questioned no matter what. Release the tape, and let us decide it's value.

I believe you - Clint doesn't look to bad as Yeats.

I tossed out the idea last week that the waterways described around Atlantis might be locks for moving ships from one water level to another higher or lower level. (?)

O.K. Fine!
(When is casting for the part of her love slave? ;-)

First, the Raytheon employees weren't supposed to be there, and then they needed to be evacuated to New Zealand when it was supposed to be impossible to do so. And so they were evacuated. Reports said they appeared to be beaten up, and then all sorts of conflicting statements that were issued made it impossible to discern what happened. Tin foil types and others who are more reputable believe that Raytheon does Black Ops for the government.

Just based on what we've read here, there ought to be quite a "buzz" spreading regarding the story. Whether it's a movie or not, based upon real events or fictional, it ought to be interesting to see how far this one goes.

There is no question that an effort is being made to promote the book which is a NOVEL. But there are some strange items of note.
First, the theory and the supporting evidence is well reasoned and thought out. But, I would be surprised if anyone was interested in digging. Realize also, that the location is not under two miles of ice. But rather under the water under an ice shelf.
But there is some strange activity down there. That is a fact. The budget for US operations down there is ten times (!) that of what it had been. There has been some strange switching of personnel. Some may remember the doctor who had to be airlifted out...
It makes good conspiricy reading. But there is an unusual amount of actity, funding, switching of personnel, and other strange items worthy of note.

"The part that kills this for me is the "two miles." Why would the US government have been digging 2 miles down? Do you know how much work and equipment it would take to work operate at that level? 10,000 feet below ground? Maybe 200 feet, but not 10,000."Try going to the Homestake Gold Mine in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Shaft depths there have been as far as 14,000 feet below surface - in hard rock instead of ice. Rock temperature is 158 degrees F at that level.
