Let all anti-Jews understand, the Jewish people will not go quietly into the night, the Jews will fight and they will prevail! Those who sow the death of the Jews will reap their own destruction

Abu Gosh

Abu Gosh is a Christian Arab village just west of Jerusalem.

During the 1948 war, they choose not to fight the Jews and they were left unharmed to prosper in the State of Israel.

They too seem to need to be guarded from the savages.

Now she is concerned about the daily struggle of looking after her family, particularly how to finance the high cost of treatment and hearing aids for their two deaf children.

I hope he is repaid for his heroism and his family is well taken care of. Great post.

BTW, would a .17" or 5.7mm bullet set off TNT?

>Following the bombing at Haifa's Matza Restaurant a few days later - when 16 people lost their lives - Haifa Mayor Amram Mitzna said that had the eatery been protected by a guard - "like the guard in Kiryat Hayovel" - the scope of the attack there too would have been greatly lessened.

There are not very many people like that guard. I hope is family was well provided for by insurance.

Smadar was immediately suspicious of her. He grabbed her by the arms, and said: "You are not coming in here. You and I will blow up here."

Bump for presence of mind and heroism.

"You and I will blow up here"

That's as inspiring as "Let's Roll"

Why, why did they take him from me?"

Because they are murderous Nazis and he is a Jew. That is reason enough for them.

"Tunisian-born Haim Smadar, who immigrated to Israel with his family as a toddler, had worked for the past three years as the security guard for a Ma'alot Dafna school."

Yup--his family were obviously so well-regarded by the congregation members of the "religion of peace" in Tunisia that they decided to forego living among the "peaceful Muslims" further, and moved to Israel. Obviously, they must have been some kind of "Zionist plotters" for making that choice. </ sarcasm>

I first read this post an hour ago but had to compose myself before I could write a comment.

What you see here is the difference between a civilized man who lost his life to protect others, and a people who are defined only by their hate.

I'm sending this story via email to everyone I know. I'm also going to send a copy to the public email of every US journalist I can find. This is the kind of story that we deserve to hear, and we should be demanding that the US media repeat it.

I'm sending a copy to my representatives in Congress, as well as all of my family and freinds, and I'm asking that all FReepers do the same.

This tells the real story of the mideast, and if enough people hear it, maybe it will make some difference.

This is Congressional-Medal-of-Honor-type courage, in the tradition of those who fell on grenades to protect others. God rest his gallant soul.

The media's treatment of everything going on in Israel is disgusting. Had this incident happened in the US we would be inundated with newscasts declaring that the policeman was violating this idiot's freedom of expression.

In addition, the protestors who are defending the palestinians are the same liberal fascist morons who not so long ago would declare conservatives as being anti-semitic at the drop of a hat!

A minimum wage security guard dies doing his duty.

Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the Gate:
"To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his gods?"

...

When the oldest cask is opened,
And the largest lamp is lit;
When the chestnuts glow in the embers,
And the kid turns on the spit;
When young and old in circle
Around the firebrands close;
When the girls are weaving baskets,
And the lads are shaping bows;

When the goodman mends his armor,
And trims his helmet's plume;
When the goodwife's shuttle merrily
Goes flashing through the loom;
With weeping and with laughter
Still is the story told,
How well Horatius kept the bridge
In the brave days of old.
