Yes. Clinton created death and destruction for sake of his won 'legacy'... very dangerous to confer with terrorists like Arafat and give them staging areas for terrorism. The map looks as swiss-cheese like as the Bosnian monstrosity, which has to be 'enforced' with armed guards. Although the Jews and Arabs cant seem to live toegether, it is almost absurd to imagine that the best hope for 'peace' is to separate them and put a big wall between them, and further divide the land into two smaller nations. gaza without economic hope becomes nothing but a big prison and breeding ground for hate-mongers. In other words, IMHO the whole 'peace process' and notion of a palestinian state in the west bank is flawed. these folks should have their rights restored as citizens of Jordan or Israel. "palestine" will be nothing but a rump state.

permitting the Palestinians control of a few scattered fragments of what had been theirs before 1967. What a freakin' moron! Before 1967 it was occupied by Jordan.

"His task is clear: to secure a ceasefire and persuade both parties to return to the negotiating table."To negotiate what exactly? Arafat can NOT make a deal. First of all, his goal is the destruction of Israel, not a Palestinian State. Second, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and probably his own Fatah organization would kill him, like the killed Sadat. Their goal is the destruction of Israel. Most Palestinians are delusional enough, that they think this can happen, so they support all of the terrorist groups, including head terrorist Arafat in the current battle. There is no substitute for victory.
Israel would wipe out all the Arab armies, if they attacked. The Arab leaders know that, which is why they won't attack. No wider conflagration is threatened.

There are a few left in the west who know what real war is - those who fought it as soldiers and those who lived it as civilians in the war zones. They are few, and don't speak about it for the most part. But I agree that war is coming. The question is, will we experience it on our territory ?
