The Koran: Suicide playbook: Paul Sperry shows how Muslim scriptures glorify death
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Tuesday, April 9, 2002 | Paul Sperry

WASHINGTON – What makes Palestinian suicide bombers tick? Not the Koran, media pundits are quick to say.

They maintain they are martyrs for a political, not religious, cause and are only resorting to such violent extremes to defend against an oppressive Israeli military. The media romanticize the heinous bombings as the desperate struggle of the downtrodden.

Given the alarming toll of innocent Israelis (not to mention Americans) recently slaughtered by Islamic suicide attacks, this is a particularly noxious batch of politically correct swill to swallow.

And those in the media who know better should be ashamed of themselves for peddling it. They are nothing but professional liars. Others too lazy to read the Koran to independently verify the spin of "moderate" Muslim scholars are guilty of intellectual malpractice.

If you read the Koran (the Muslim-approved Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation), you discover that martyrdom is the only known ticket to Paradise for Muslims.

But don't take my word for it. Listen to a former radical Shiite Muslim tell it.

"The only way Muslims can have assurance of salvation and eternal life is by becoming a martyr for the cause of Islam," said Reza F. Safa, author of "Inside Islam."

"To a Muslim," he added, "dying and killing for the cause of Islam is not only an honor, but also a way of pleasing Allah."

That explains how a Palestinian grandmother could proudly pose with her beaming teen-age grandson for a final photograph knowing that just hours later he would strap himself with explosives and eviscerate Israeli "infidels" – and himself – in the name of Allah. This adoring old woman was actually celebrating the boy's imminent death, as if he were about to cross the stage at his high-school graduation ceremony. But to her, a death certificate sealed by Allah meant more than any diploma. She said she was happy – overjoyed that her grandson would soon disembowel himself – because she knew he would be instantly transported to a better place.

Where does she get such faith? From the Koran.

Meanwhile, the pubescent grandson dreamed of the carnal pleasures awaiting him in Paradise – "Companions with beautiful, big and lustrous eyes ... virgin-pure and undefiled" – just as the Muslim prophet Muhammad promised in the Koran (Surah 56:22,35-36).

And such Koranic promises explain how the father of another young Palestinian, who set off a bomb on a crowded commuter bus, could gush, "My son will go to heaven" – as if he had just scored the winning touchdown at the homecoming game in front of Ivy League scouts. Most fathers would be bawling their eyes out over such a senseless loss.

Safa says local Muslim clerics recite to such young men the verses from the Koran that promise the reward of Paradise, and all its oddly non-spiritual perks, if they die while fighting the "unbelievers" – Jews and Christians – in the name of Allah.

"'Are you ready for martyrdom?'" the young man is asked. "'Yes, yes,' he repeats," Safa said, explaining the ritual. "He is then given the oath on the Koran."

"These young men leave the meeting with one determination: to kill," he said.

Of course, the same media pundits who like to pretend Palestinians are fighting a political war for freedom and are only using suicide as a "cheap defense weapon," argue that the Koran forbids suicide. They claim clerics twist the meaning of the salient passages in the Koran to imply martyrdom paves the way to Paradise.

But don't be fooled. Typical of Islam's apologists, they are merely cherry picking verses to try to make the Koran seem less violent than it is.

Yes, the Koran tells Muslims not to "kill or destroy yourselves" (Surah 4:29) – but only when doing so is outside the cause of Allah. Dying for Allah is not viewed as a waste of life.

In fact, the Koran encourages it. Consider these verses:

"When ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks," Muhammad commands in Surah 47:4. "Those who are slain in the way of Allah – he will never let their deeds be lost."

"Soon will he guide them and improve their condition," he continues in Surah 47:5, "and admit them to the Garden (of Paradise), which he has announced for them."

And look at Surah 4:74: "To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah – whether he is slain or gets victory – soon shall we give him a reward of great (value)."

And Surah 3:157: "If ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass."

But cultural relativists among the punditry, such as Boston Globe columnist Ellen Goodman, aren't convinced.

Goodman recently insisted that the Palestinian suicide bombers are merely "desperate" to improve their lot, deluded by the "despair" of their impoverished existence. Some politicians call them "freedom fighters." Over the weekend, former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell even compared PLO leader Yasser Arafat to Nelson Mandela.

But if Palestinians are deluded into carrying out such wicked acts, it's not a function of their social or economic condition. It's a function of their faith.

They are deluded, quite simply, by their holy book, which teaches them to "fight unbelievers (Jews) who are near to you" (Surah 9:123) for the cause of Allah.

You never hear of Jewish or Christian suicide bombers for the simple reason the Bible does not encourage murder in the name of God. The Koran does.

Still not convinced?

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Syria, which according to Safa has helped the Palestinians against the Israelis, has this as its slogan:

"The Koran is our constitution, the prophet is our guide; Death for the glory of Allah is our greatest ambition."

Greater than land or voting rights. Greater than family or love. Above all, death. This is the enemy Ariel Sharon faces. This, sadly, is now our enemy, too.

Of course. Islam is a cancer, a savage, gutter religion. Ideologically, it is the closest thing to pure evil ever to warp the mind of man.

I knew all this decades ago, but it does seem Americans are only now waking up to learn it.

What else could one expect from a religion directly founded not by a mere man, but by Satan himself. See 2 Thess 2.

Red in tooth and claw, a devourer of its own children, a worshipper of death and destruction, mayhem and dismemberment.

Yeah, well, all the brainless heads are showing up.

If you read the Koran, you will find sections that threaten your family with a blood curdling raid tonight.

Other parts say that any ANY killing of innocents is absolutely not tolerated by Allah.

Both the KJV Bible and the Koran are translations of ancient languages, and both can be used to support all extremes. If, and that's a big IF, you have an open mind you'll find chunks of the King James Bible that contradict: as in eye for an eye, turn the other cheek. Anyone here convinced that Lot's wife did indeed turn into a pillar of salt. Really? Or that Lot's daughters, despondent on their old maidness, seduced and boned their father?

Yes, if you search you can find a part of the Koran that supports just about any human activity. If one were to take the time, you could juxtapose the KJV and the Koran quotes and stupify store front preachers of either the Christian facade, or the Islam facade.

But if you are intent on using your can of spray paint, you can spout off.

Dear Amy,

Your post #7 was a rather ridiculous statement for the most part. Muslims believe the Koran and it is not a "facade" to them. Christians believe the Bible and it is not a "facade" to us.

Speaking plainly and frankly Amy, you really should read the Bible AND understand it before attempting to compare it to the Koran.

The Koran is not a "translation of ancient languages" -- it is an original composition of Mohammed as recorded by his scribes in the original Arabic. Muslims study it in Arabic; the English version is only a reference work. I am not a scholar of the book by any means, but it does appear to be more single mindedly focused upon kill, kill, kill than just about any other religious text.

Messages from the President

President Bush

"When we think of Islam we think of a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. Billions of people find comfort and solace and peace. And that's made brothers and sisters out of every race - out of every race.
"America counts millions of Muslims amongst our citizens, and Muslims make an incredibly valuable contribution to our country. Muslims are doctors, lawyers, law professors, members of the military, entrepreneurs, shopkeepers, moms and dads. And they need to be treated with respect. In our anger and emotion, our fellow Americans must treat each other with respect.
"This is a great country. It's a great country because we share the same values of respect and dignity and human worth. And it is my honor to be meeting with leaders who feel just the same way I do. They're outraged, they're sad. They love America just as much as I do."

-President George W. Bush, remarks at the Islamic Center Washington, D.C., September 17, 2001

"The Muslim faith is a peaceful faith. And there are millions of good Americans who practice the Muslim faith who love their country as much as I love the country, who salute the flag as strongly as I salute the flag."
-President George W. Bush, meeting with leaders from the U.S. House and Senate, September 19, 2001

"Warm greetings to Muslims across the United States as you celebrate the Eid al-Adha holiday and join in spirit with the millions gathered in Mecca to uphold the traditions of one of your most sacred feasts.
"America was built on a strong spiritual foundation, and the celebration of faith is central to our lives. As you celebrate the annual Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam, your honor the great sacrifice and devotion of Abraham as recognized by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. By educating others about your religious traditions, you enrich the lives of others in your local communities.
"The variety of nations and cultures represented by those who travel to Mecca each year, and the varied ways in which Muslims contribute to American life across the United States, are powerful reminders that ethnic and racial differences need not divide us when we share common values and purposes. By building strong foundations of mutual respect, we can achieve peace and reconciliation in our world.
"Laura joins me in sending best wishes for a joyous holiday celebration."

U.S. Has Given 50,000 Visas Since 9-11 To New Visitors From the Middle East

U.S. Encourages Immigration From Terror-Sponsor States

Human Events
By Joseph A. D'Agostino
The Week of October 1, 2001

The U.S. State Department runs a quota system designed to encourage immigration from all seven countries on the department’s own terrorist watch list.

The "Diversity Immigrant Visa Program" has the goal of issuing highly prized permanent residence visas to 50,000 foreign nationals from countries that send relatively few immigrants to the United States. These visas are specifically designed to increase the diversity of the U.S. immigrant pool and are in addition to the employment- and family-based permanent visas that are granted each year.

All seven of the nations listed by the State Department as "state sponsors of international terrorism"—Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Cuba, North Korea and Sudan—are included in the program. "This was a program created by Congress," said a State Department official, and "1995 was the first year we had it."

Section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which requires the State Department to run the program, was sponsored by Sen. Teddy Kennedy (D.-Mass.) in 1990 and signed into law by President George Bush.

Countries that have sent 50,000 or more immigrants to the United States in the last five years, such as Britain, Canada, mainland China, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Pakistan, and the Philippines, are excluded from the program.

Applicants to the diversity program "still have to meet the same requirements as other applicants for permanent residence visas," a State Department official said. "Those requirements include copies of police records, interviews."

The application requirements, the official said, enable State to screen out dangerous people such as terrorists. "No one country may have more than 7% of the visas, but there is no minimum," she said. "No country is guaranteed to be able to have applicants approved under this program." Applicants enter a lottery each year, she said. Requirements include a high school diploma or a history of skilled work experience.

Thirteen million people filed applications for the 50,000 slots available next year. Of these, three million applications were ruled invalid. Of the ten million remaining, 1,703 people from Iran were awarded visas, 117 from Iraq, 67 from Syria, 26 from Libya, 757 from Cuba, none from North Korea, and 1,820 from Sudan.

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.), chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, had already introduced legislation to abolish the program before the September 11 attacks. Now he says he will include its abolition in the immigration reform package he plans to introduce after the House has passed the President’s anti-terrorism package. He said he expects that it will be difficult to get this reform package to the House floor.

Jack Martin, special projects director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), said he doubts that terrorists use the diversity immigrant visa program because obtaining permanent residence visas is such a long process that includes a more thorough background check than that involved in getting a temporary visa (for business, tourism, or study).

What Is Going On At The University of South Florida?

What is Going On at the University of South Florida?

Fox News - O'Reilly Factor
By Bill O'Reilly
September 26, 2001

Partial transcript:

BILL O'REILLY, HOST: Now for the top story tonight. What is going on at the University of South Florida, a state-funded institution? Suspected terrorist Ramadan Abdullah Shallah actually taught classes there. He is now one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic jihad.

And the man who brought Shallah to the United States joins us now from Tampa. Dr. Sami Al-Arian is an associate professor of computer engineering at the University of South Florida.

All right. What say you, Professor? This guy is now a big shot in the Islamic jihad, they're taking credit for all kinds of terrorist activity, and you know him pretty well. Got an explanation here?

SAMI AL-ARIAN, PH.D., UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA PROFESSOR: Well, I mean, when he came here, he came as a volunteer. He was working in an intellectual think tank, and he taught at the university, and then he left. He said that his father was sick and he was going back to the occupied territories, and then six months later, we were shocked like everyone else in the world in which he became the leader of the jihad movement.

O'REILLY: You were shocked! You were -- you couldn't understand it. He never told you that his views -- political views were that extreme. You were just taken by surprise?

AL-ARIAN: Everyone was. Everyone who knew him here at the University of South Florida, everyone who knew him personally was extremely surprised.

O'REILLY: All right. You knew a man named Tariq Hamdi, correct? You know Tariq?

AL-ARIAN: Mr. Hamdi. Yeah.

O'REILLY: Yeah. You know him. Were you surprised that he set up an interview with ABC News with Usama bin Laden? Does that surprise you?

AL-ARIAN: I didn't know about that. I mean, Mr. Tariq Hamdi left us about eight, nine years ago. He became a journalist, and I'm not sure what kind of connections he has with whatever journalists are...

O'REILLY: OK. Were you surprised that he was implicated in the embassy bombings in Africa?

AL-ARIAN: Well, I understand he was never implicated.

O'REILLY: Yes, he was.

AL-ARIAN: My understanding is that the FBI has talked to him, they give him security clearance, and if the FBI gives someone security clearance, he must not be implicated.

O'REILLY: No. Right now, he's on the list of suspected terrorists. Did you know that?

AL-ARIAN: No. I'm not aware of that.

O'REILLY: All right. Does that surprise you?

AL-ARIAN: It -- I'll be -- I'll be shocked because this -- this guy has an American citizenship, he was given security clearance by the FBI. I can't imagine that he is...

O'REILLY: OK, but he is. So there's another shocker. So that's three.

In -- in 1988, you did a little speaking engagement in Cleveland, and you were quoted as saying, "Jihad is our path. Victory to Islam. Death to Israel. Revolution. Revolution until victory. Rolling to Jerusalem." Did you say that?

AL-ARIAN: Let me just put it into context. When resident Bush talked about crusade, we understand what he meant here. The Muslim world thought he is going to carry a cross and go invade the Muslim world and turn them into Christians. We have to understand the context. When you say "Death to Israel," you mean death to occupation, death to apartheid, death to oppression, death to...

O'REILLY: But not death to any human being?

AL-ARIAN: No, absolutely not. Absolutely not.

O'REILLY: No.

AL-ARIAN: Absolutely not.

O'REILLY: All right. So now what we have here is you saying death to Israel. You're bringing a guy over here who gets paid by the good citizens of Florida and then goes back and becomes one of the lieutenants or generals of the Islamic jihad, but you don't know nothing about it. Another guy sets up an interview with Osama bin Laden for ABC, and you don know anything about that.

You know, Doctor, it looks to me like there's something wrong down there at the University of South Florida. Am I getting -- am I getting the wrong impression here?

AL-ARIAN: You're getting completely wrong impression because you can pick and choose and interpret it, you know, different ways.

The fact of the matter is we have been involved in intellectual-type activity. We brought dozens of people. All of them are intellectual type.  You're going to get the apple -- a bad apple or two, but that -- if you focus on them, you get one conclusion.

The fact of the matter is that we've been investigated by the FBI for many years...

O'REILLY: Correct.

AL-ARIAN: ...and there has been no wrongdoing whatsoever even suggested.

O'REILLY: Well, I don't know about that. Your -- your brother-in-law is going to be deported right now. I mean, it looks like he's going to get kicked out of the country, correct?

AL-ARIAN: It has nothing to do with this. His deportation...

O'REILLY: It doesn't have anything to do with it? Your brother-in-law is going to get kicked out of the country and it doesn't have anything to do with it?

AL-ARIAN: No. Absolutely not.

O'REILLY: Does that come as a shock to you that he's going to get kicked out of the country?

AL-ARIAN: It was absolutely. As a Palestinian refugee, he lost his visa. He -- his status was not adjusted. It has nothing to do with all that. His deportation had to do with the denial of asylum. It has nothing to do with any of the stuff we're talking about.

O'REILLY: Yeah. Well, Doctor, you know, with all due respect -- I appreciate you coming on the program, but if I was the CIA, I'd follow you wherever you went. I'd follow you 24 hours...

AL-ARIAN: Well, you don't know me. You don't know me. You do not...

O'REILLY: That doesn't matter. With all of this circumstantial evidence...

AL-ARIAN: If you don't know me, you can't judge me by...

O'REILLY: I'm not judging you.

AL-ARIAN: ... simply...

O'REILLY: I'm just saying...

AL-ARIAN: That's exactly what you're saying.

O'REILLY: I'm saying I'd be your shadow, Doctor.

AL-ARIAN: We've been -- we've been looked at, and a judge -- a judge has said that we are not a threat to national security.

O'REILLY: All right.

AL-ARIAN: Even the government itself said we're not.

O'REILLY: OK. All right, Doctor. I'd still shadow you. I'd go to Denny's with you, and I'd go everywhere you went. We appreciate you coming on.

What Is Going On At The University of South Florida

For a start toward the real answer, perhaps we should provide a little update on Sami Al-Arian, the University of South Florida computer engineering professor whom we have met before in these pages. Al-Arian is a piece of work: a man who in the past has played host or even employer - right there in the Tampa/St. Pete metropolitan area - to a number of notorious international terrorists and their equally notorious propagandists and sympathizers. Al-Arian appears ill-disposed towards Jewish people; in February 1995, ten days after two young Arab zombies had blown themselves up at an Israeli bus stop, killing 22 people and injuring 59 others, Al-Arian wrote a fund-raising letter exulting in the deed and requesting "support to the jihad effort in Palestine so that operations such as these can continue." Al-Arian appears similarly ill-disposed toward Americans, even those who aren't Jewish. "Let us damn America" and its allies "until death" he has been heard to proclaim, at one of the many jihadist pep rallies he has sponsored since arriving in the states more than a decade ago.

Provost David Stamps, Engineering Dean Louis Martin-Vega, USF President Judy Genshaft and University Police Chief Paul Uravich discuss safety issues related to Al-Arian's presence on campus. They determine Al-Arian should be placed on paid leave for his safety and the safety of the rest of the USF community. Stamps and Martin-Vega meet with Al-Arian off campus and tell him that the university is placing him on leave until it determines that it's safe for him to return to campus.

Oct. 5, 2001 - Al-Arian is present in the USF's Marshall Center in violation of the terms of the leave of absence.

Oct. 8, 2001 - USF Provost David Stamps sends Al-Arian a letter notifying him that his presence on USF's campus on Oct. 5 violated his leave of absence. The letter constitutes a final warning to Al-Arian not to appear on campus.

November 1, 2001 - At the request of a USF trustee, R.B. Friedlander, interim general counsel, asks Tom Gonzalez, an attorney with Thompson, Sizemore & Gonzalez, to determine whether Dr. Al-Arian's actions constitute conduct which would justify discipline up to and including termination.

November 1, 2001 - December 18, 2001 - Gonzalez reviews the situation, including documents submitted by USF regarding disruption to the orderly and efficient operation of the university. He determines Al-Arian's conduct could be grounds for termination. Gonzalez is in contact with USF President Judy Genshaft during the process.

December 18, 2001 - Genshaft relates Gonzalez's determination to Dick Beard, chairman of the USF Board of Trustees. Beard calls an emergency meeting of the board of trustees to be held Dec. 19 at 9 a.m.

YOu have problems with reading comprehension. Find me where an eye for an eye is commanded in the Bible, then I'll speak to you about it. I know where it is, but I want to see if you do, actually. Most people who claim to see contradictions dont even know where they are.

Next, Show me anywhere Lot's daughter's actions were considered good? At what point did God ever say what Lot's daughters did was a good thing?

You need to learn how to read. Start with the Bible. This time, try to understand it. It will change your life. Believe it, and you will get saved.

RE: prophet = pervert

You mean for having a six year old girl as his 'wife'? Or was he a practictioner of the Pashtun path to carnal pleasure? Is that documented anywhere? Personally, whatever his kink, I think he was the first "cultist". Took Jewish and Christian concept of monotheism and sold it the same way that cultist con men do these days.

Islam has no Virgin Mary, which raised the role of women. Islam has no cruciufied Christ nor resurrection, not to mention the return of Christ. Islam can only offer a tacky vision of a Paradise. Much of it a gutter religion which can wage war but not keep peace. I know of no major Philosopher who thought kindly of it.

We are now at war on two fronts: Nihilism( European roots), and Radical Islam.

I'm beginning to think that Mohammed was the L. Ron Hubbard of his day, with a dash of Bill Jones to add to the mix.

"If one were to take the time, you could juxtapose the KJV and the Koran.."

Be my guest:

"Angels stop asking Allah to forgive people when they pass wind.

Allah's Apostle said, "The angels keep on asking Allah's forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Mu,salla (praying place) and he does not pass wind (Hadath). They say, 'O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him." - Volume 1, Book 8, Number 436: Narrated Abu Huraira

When he enters the mosque he is considered in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer and the angels keep on asking for Allah's forgiveness for him and they keep on saying: 'O Allah! Be Merciful to him, O Allah! Forgive him, as long as he keeps on sitting at his praying place and does not pass wind. (See Hadith No. 620). - Volume 1, Book 8, Number 466: Narrated Abu Huraira

A man slept through prayer time and the devil peed in his ear.

It was mentioned before the Prophet that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Prophet said, "He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated." Volume 4, Book 54, Number 492: Narrated 'Abdullah:

A person was mentioned before the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and he was told that he had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for the prayer. The Prophet said, "Satan urinated in his ears." Volume 2, Book 21, Number 245: Narrated 'Abdullah.

Satan puts three knots in the back of the head of people who sleep.

Allah's Apostle said, "Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart." Volume 2, Book 21, Number 243: Narrated Abu Huraira

Muhammad said that yawning is from Satan.

The Prophet said, "Yawning is from Satan and if anyone of you yawns, he should check his yawning as much as possible, for if anyone of you (during the act of yawning) should say: 'Ha', Satan will laugh at him." Volume 4, Book 54, Number 509: Narrated Abu Huraira

Muhammad said that yawning is from Satan and that Allah likes sneezing and dislikes yawning

The Prophet said, "Allah likes sneezing and dislikes yawning, so if someone sneezes and then praises Allah, then it is obligatory on every Muslim who heard him, to say: May Allah be merciful to you (Yar-hamuka-l-lah). But as regards yawning, it is from Satan, so one must try one's best to stop it, if one says 'Ha' when yawning, Satan will laugh at him." Volume 8, Book 73, Number 242: Narrated Abu Huraira: See also Volume 8, Book 73, Number 245:, Narrated Abu Huraira.

Muhammad said that Satan stayed in the upper part of a nose all night

The Prophet said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night." Volume 4, Book 54, Number 516: Narrated Abu Huraira.

Muhammad said Satan passes wind and runs so he may not hear the Adhan (call to prayer)

Allah's Apostle said, "When the Adhan for the prayer is pronounced, then Satan takes to his heels passing wind so that he may not hear the Adhan and when the Muadh-dhin finishes, he comes back; Volume 2, Book 22, Number 313: Narrated Abu Huraira.

Allah's Apostle said, "When the call for prayer is made, Satan takes to his heels passing wind so that he may not hear the Adhan and when the call is finished he comes back, and when the Iqama is pronounced, Satan again takes to his heels, Volume 2, Book 22, Number 323, Narrated Abu Huraira

Prayer offered in a congregation is 25 times better than prayer offered alone and each step towards a mosque results in forgiveness of a sin

The Prophet said, "The prayer offered in congregation is twenty five times more superior (in reward) to the prayer offered alone in one's house or in a business center, because if one performs ablution and does it perfectly, and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for each step which he takes towards the mosque, Allah upgrades him a degree in reward and (forgives) crosses out one sin till he enters the mosque. When he enters the mosque he is considered in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer and the angels keep on asking for Allah's forgiveness for him and they keep on saying: 'O Allah! Be Merciful to him, O Allah! Forgive him, as long as he keeps on sitting at his praying place and does not pass wind." (See Hadith No. 620). Volume 1, Book 8, Number 466, Narrated Abu Huraira

The preceding Hadith are translated by Sahih Bukhari and are quoted from an online source found

Most Muslims around the world recognize these (most famous and universally accepted among the six collections of Hadith - those of Sahih Al-Bukhari -d. 870), as bona fide teachings of Muhammad.

The Hadith

The Hadith, in Islam, is second in authority only to the Qur'an. The Hadith is a record of the prophet Mohammed's life, actions, and deeds. A saying in the Hadith is called a sunnah. These sunnah were transmitted by word of mouth down through the centuries having been memorized first by Muhammad's companions and then later by subsequent Muslims. Therefore, the Hadith is the written record of the oral traditions passed down from the Muslim to Muslim of what Mohammed was supposed to have said and done.

The Qur'an is considered to be the absolute and infallible word of Allah. The Hadith, however, though the words of the inspired prophet Muhammad, are not necessarily infallible. The oldest collection to date dates from the 9th century.

The Hadith fall into two categories, "Hadith qudsi (sacred Hadith) in which God Himself is speaking in, as it were, a complementary revelation through the Prophet, and hadith sharif (noble Hadith), the Prophet's own acts and utterances." *1.

The most famous and universally accepted among the six collections of Hadith are those of Sahih Al-Bukhari (d. 870)

The Hadith are important because they elucidate many areas not covered by or were not very clear in the Qur'an. The Hadith is appealed to in legal decisions and consulted in debate among many Muslims.

"Not to even mention, of course, that The Prophet was a pervert."

He DID have his "problems", didn't he? :D:

Historians say that Mohammad suffered from "hysteria, hallucinations, and ecstasies". "The faithful" aren't put off by such knowledge about Islam's founder, so why would they think that being a pervert would disqualify anyone from founding a legitimate religion?

Here is Mohammad's ~lucid~ teaching about how Allah created man [excerpted from: The Chapter of Congealed Blood in the Koran]:

"1 READ, in the name of thy Lord! 2 Who created man from congealed blood!"

Here is a little bottom-line background about Mohammad, the founder of Islam:

"THE ANCIENT religion of the Arabs was the worship of the stars, but long before the birth of Mohammed, it had become greatly corrupted .... The chief seat of this degraded worship was the city of Mecca...".

1 Mohammed was born in 571 A. D. His father died before he was born, and his mother when he was only six. In his youth he tended sheep and goats, and at twenty-four he was employed to drive caravans of camels by a rich widow, ‘Hadïgah, whom he married.

2 When he was forty, while wandering alone on a desolate mountain near Mecca, he had a vision. An angel appeared to him and told him to read, and recited certain verses.

From youth he had suffered from a kind of hysteria, and this vision seems to have increased his tendency to hallucinations and ecstasy. There was an intermission of two or three years before the vision reappeared, after which revelations came rapidly.

He became convinced of his prophetic mission, and began to make converts, ~the first being the women~ of his own family.

3 For years, however, the new religion made little progress, and the prophet underwent great hardships, finally having to flee from Mecca to Medinah. From this “Flight,” which took place in 622 A. D., the Mohammedan era dates.

Two years later began the Holy War, and from this time on Mohammedanism was extended largely by the sword. When its founder died in 632, it was firmly established as a great _political power_ as well as a religion; and it is now said to be the belief of about a hundred and seventy millions of people.

4 From the Qur’ân or Koran, ... collected Mohammed’s revelations ...~ snip ~
