I think the point is that 'Ronny' did not even mention the resurrection; he was challenging 'critics' to explain how Jesus had the most profound life ever lived.
I agree with you. I think that the only way to explain that is that Jesus is who he said he was. This includes resurrection from the dead.
...while of course if the Resurrection did not happen, Jesus was no more than a fraud and a charlatan, whose ideas have their richly-deserved place in the ash-heap of history.
He is great because He rose. If He did not, He is nothing, or worse.
