"Bush is too nice of a guy and it translates into naivety on a grand scale in foreign policy as executed through his State Department and INS. HIS Administration, now. For it is over one year out since he took over from Clinton and could have started cleaning the house. The next terrorist attack is on HIS WATCH."

You know, I actually wanted to beleive what you say about him. I voted for this pallazo and I had hoped he would really turn things around with illegal immigration. He led us to beleive he would control immigration and then did a back flip on us. At first, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he was being over compasionate and naive.

But when he sucks up to Foxy and obviously intends to accellerate the illegal alien problem rather than fixing it, he shows me his true colors. He is looking to provide business with an unlimited source of cheap labor and the American public can be damned! He'll just let us pay for all their welfare benefits and health/education goodies.

But let another 9/11 thing happen and he will be toast along with anyone who supports this ridiculous illegal plan. The next time, you will see a hue and cry to round up and deport every single last alien in the country.

I would not advocate putting foreigners in jail in such a case, but we certainly have the right to order them out of the country. It would be sad to see, but we really need to stop putting P.C. ahead of our national security.

This is undeniable. Fawning all over that gangster is proof positive of his intentions.

And how long will it be 'cheap labor' if the left has anything to say about it, and mark my words they will? The 'cheap labor' will be just another cudgel in the hands of the left to create more agitation in this country.

Their analytical work in the White House have brought them to two conclusions.

1) They have 'run the numbers' and looked at past RINO sellouts, and believe that in taking up the mantle of gradual regularization and legitimization of illegal aliens, they will gain access to Hispanic votes in 2004 and be assured of reelection;

and

2), they have concluded they would take a short term 'hit' from this from GOP conservatives in forums and on talk shows and at the grassroots and in Congress, but that after time all would settle down and the peristalsyic prospect of "President Hillary" or "President Gore" with no true conservative third party vote would be enough to keep them also in the 2004 column.

So they have taken the risk.

This is Karl Rove and others thinking and Bush carrying it out with full knowledge and forethought. Don't let anyone tell you that this is not happening. The real victim is the Republican who supported Bush and wants to support him again. It is very sad, pathetic and irritating to, as an American who believes in the rule of law and national security, be essentially taken for granted and treated in this rather shoddy way.
