Don't forget the constitution is what 2/3 of the people say it is.

Okay...then Simmons should get his constituents together and find like minded people who can work together to amend the constitution. I don't see a gray area here:

Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or ... to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Or here:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic

I'm going to leave the board before I get the urge to hang myself.

It seems to me that everyone here has his point of no compromise, and everyone here has his price.

For you VRWC_minion, CFR is something on which you will compromise, and/or your price is having an R next to your rep's name as opposed to a D.

For me, CFR represents the Constitution, more specifically the right of free speech and assembly, which is my point of no compromise. Furthermore, I have been arguing that cowardly Rs are no better than plain old RATS.

We just disagree. Best wishes.
