....it was never a general redemption No, it wasn't. I never claimed that, though I sometimes cannot express myself as I would like to. Animal sacrifice (with certain exceptions) was personal--Christ's sacrifice was for all.

You are expressing yourself well Shadow.I think that many people think that.But look at the animal sacrifice..The man had to select carefully his offering..it had to cost him something to make that sacrifice..then he had to transport it to the temple,and lay it on the altar and slay it..that was a substitution for his sin, He then had to place his sins on that lamb..a sign that he was dying to that sin. The blood then washed away his sin. The sacrifice was not with out cost. Then the sacrificed animal was consumed with fire.

What does one need to do to be saved by the blood of the Lamb? Is it really for all?
