Your thoughts on this?

I understand that there are people in this world that do not love their fellow human beings, whose hearts are not filled with tolerance and compassion for their oppressed Arab-American brothers and sisters of color, and . . .

I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT!!

"Not all Moslems are Terroists, but so far, All Terrorists Have Been Moslems."

The American Moslems are in a tough box, but one of their own making. It took them too long to decide whether they were American Moslems or Moslem Americans. I am not convinced that they are American Moslems.

After preaching hatred of America for years, now the Moslems of the world expect us to not be hateful of what they have done to us?

The word hate in that poster only seems to apply when it is people hating them.

The organization leaders must have studied at a particular mosque: Bin Liberalism.

On the one hand, it's typical lefty high-horse scolding (intended at least in part to bring in more donations) of the sort we should be used to by now. It is neither more nor less objectionable because it is sponsored by Arab-Americans.

On the other hand, maybe they've been reading FR, in which case it is perhaps understandable that they expect huge mobs of drooling racists to come kill them, though why they expect this ad to stop them remains a mystery.

I'll start softening when I see the peaceful religion that stands behind the Arab American League loudly, clearly and continously denounce terrorists who use the same religion as a means to an end....I'm still listening....the silence is deafening. Trash the poster, it's pure propoganda.

I like the layout of the ad, but the copy is way off. More appropriate copy would be the names of all those who died in the attacks, and maybe an apology for their (Muslim) more radical extremeists, then, "Americans Stand United". That would have been considered classy.

Indeed. In the immortal words of our esteemed mentor: "Plagerize! Let no one else's words evade your eyes!"

If you've got to steal, steal from the best. -:)

I just picked up the three CD package, "The Remains of Tom Leher". Not only did it bring back great memories, but my nine-year old son has become hooked on him.

Immortality!

American Arabs are Arabs first and Americans when it's convenient to be so.

Like President GWB has said "either your with us or your against us." All these holier than thou Bast*rds better choose up sides right now.

I've got to get that one. All my Tom Lehrer recordings are on records. Remember them?

I almost think this is ridiculous. I think this kind of thing is an attempt to shift the focus away from what happened. I think this message needs to be sent to the extremists who support terrorism. I'm mean, who's doing the "hating" -- the American People or these extremists who pledge to kill Americans where ever and when ever. That's who we're fighting. Of course it's wrong to HATE other Americans.

Will hate bring them all back...?

No. but justice will make the memory of their loss a little less painful.
And resisting an animalistic primitive hate-filled murdering culture is just the right thing to do.

The Saudis can spend billions on their propaganda machine but that reality will never leave us.

Hate to sound like a Troglodyte, but no thought is necessary. The issue is not the hate of Americans. The examples cited (defaced mosques, harrassed children, etc.) are largely out of the imagination of the people who expected these things to happen. Americans continue to be amazingly tolerant people. To purpose in citing fantasy examples of anti-Muslim behavior by Americans is nothing but a transparent attempt to state that there is moral equivalence between the suicide bombers and the typical American, and that the suicide bombings are justified.

This is an unacceptable statement, IMHO, and the Arab American Institute should be ashamed of itself.

BTW, I don't think the suicide bombers destroyed the towers because they hate us. I think they destroyed the towers because they are in opposition to us. There is a big difference there. To say that they hate us implies that there is something that can be done that can turn hate into love. This is not the case. The suicide bombers are opposed to us, and will kill us because we are unacceptable to them. It is not a personal thing, just a global power struggle. To end this struggle, we must either convert of die. I don't think we are all going to go out and convert, so that leaves only one option.

This struggle has been going on for a thousand years and will continue to go on until one side is rendered incapable of harming the other. But keep in mind under this scenario, our continued existance is unacceptable to the other side. Any negotiated peace will be temporary. The only way to have a lasting peace is to eliminate the opposition's capability to offer resistance.

Excellent point. Maybe the Arab institute should make a poster like this for their middle eastern brethern about not hating americans.....Perhaps I shall e-mail them this suggestion.

A simpler question:
How many similar anti hate ads are published in all Muslim countries combined?
Is there a single one?

This Arab American Council do-good group should certainly be able to answer that!
Seeing how all fired concerned they are for tolerance.

Never underestimate the hate of the "anti-hate" mongers. Wanting to ban the free academic endeavour is synonymous with something worse than racism, it is “wordism”, witness intimidation and truth killing. It is one thing to be hated for your skin color, it is another to be hated for what you know and have witnessed in such matters. Killing the witnesses is the death spiral which the criminal has entered once he or she committed the crime.

From Socialism's petty fascist thefts of the bourgeois and the children for cheap excuses, it is a slippery slope to total annihilation indeed. Children are their key, because children are silent witnesses to their crime against them. Lack of gun ownership makes us all children, just as woman silenced by her veil. And the list goes on and is all too familiar.

A conspiracy? A rejoinder for irresponsibility? Whatever the source may be, remember that we do not live in the information age, but in the nuclear age, for it is nuclear weapons that are the main instruments of leverage against America as a witness and home of refugees, the main instrument determining how the information may be distributed in the future. There is no more powerful mean of intimidation out there, capable of turning the best of friends into the collaborator with enemies against your own soul. Gun ownership, nuclear capability of the United States and our relationship with them will determine from here on out whether the internet was indeed just a big joke.

As for those in fear of US government conspiracy and evil banking businesses or Jews, remember this: the US government right now is virtualy in charge of protecting our internet rights in the world with its diminishing nuclear weaponery, and the banks did the IPOs that made the internet such a liquid information asset available to all. These are not witness temperers as far as we can see, their nukes we do not fear when we speak, it is the nukes from over seas that you have to fear.

Put aside for once your unleveraged differences, and focus for once together on those leveraged differences you have with evil yonder, lest it won't count then when they do the "collateral damage" body count, for there will be no one to witness the count. If anything, make sure that the body count will be witnessable by all that survive, that is the key to continued civilization.

I am amazed that those clowns did not try at all to diferentiate or at least to distance them selves from the rotten kind of their ilk.

Yes.
A "We are deeply sorry and reject and condemn the vicious animals who did this to America"

Without any qualifiers would have been nice.
(Too late now, however)

It is interesting to note that in the U.S. more Sikhs than Arabs have been assaulted or killed and more Sikh temples than mosques have been vandalized or destroyed since 9/11......
