Well in most of the US today there is no fear of stigma or reprisal, unless you're talking about conservative circles and whatnot...
I don't mean to stereotype here, but you're talking about S. CA so there're probably a good many illegal Mexican immigrants, a good many of whom were probably raised as Catholics, and we all know what the traditional Catholic stance on birth control (let alone abortion) is... So if you want to get through to these folks that it's OK to go have an abortion instead of fruitful-multiplying up the place, you'll have to tackle the RC's... Good luck on that, dude.
It occurs to me that a better solution might be to look at their status as so many millstones around the taxpaying neck and go from there...
1) Ship their happy a$$es back to Mexico.
2) Confer upon their happy a$$es the status of legal taxpaying citizen.
3) Institute Draconian and inhumane measures to keep their population down.
4) Send a bunch of loud-mouthed hairy-armpitted b!tch feminazis over there to learn them young-uns about how to resist the traditional male-centric phallic-imposed repressive role of receptors and nurturers or some bullsh!t so they'll all get attitudes about being barefoot and having babies.
5) Send Richard Simmons and Richard Gere over there to turn all their happy a$$es into flaming homosexuals, thus eliminating the reproduction problemo.
Well I'm your east-coast semi-academic type so there's some degree of pointy-headed white-towerism in all my rambled musings...
I guess my bottom line is, I hate to see abortions happen. I realize yeah, sometimes they gotta occur... But the less frequently, the better, in my book.
