Yes, bad people with bad things in their files have been elected.
If so, what does that say about you and me, who voted for them?
It says we were lied to and were not given all of the details necessary to make an informed choice.
You obviously don't see it that way. You seem to want to blame it all on the people, as if it is their fault for not being fully informed. Kinda hard to do when you don't have open information and coverups isn't it.
The files are marked "secret" for a reason, it's because they contain "secrets" not available to one and all. FYEO

No, I don't want to blame it all on the people...that's you and I...at all. I want to blame it on those who were elected and who fail to do their jobs, who fail to act with integrity and character.
Their failure to do so is caused, not by being blackmailed or coerced because of something in their 'file' but by more basic flaws. We make it way too easy on them when we explain their failings by pointing to the files.
As I said, The FBI files excuse is a worn and weak explanation for deeper failings by various people.

I guess it cuts back to those FBI files that the Clintons are holding. I think that probably accounts for a lot of their ability to get around the Law, and manipulate people.
