Debarim [Deuteronomy] 18:15-22

The Jewish interpretation of this passage is that it refers to all the future prophets, not just one. You agree that there was more than one prophet after Moses?

Well, you say "THE" Jewish interpretation. I'll confess right off that here, at work, I'd be hard-pressed to produce instant documentation, but to fail to apply Deuteronomy 18:15ff. to Messiah is not "THE" interpretation, is it, as if it were a monolithic and unchallenged position? The NT, which has been well-authenticated as a historically-reliable collection of documents, reflects that first-century Jewish thought accepted a Messianic interpretation of this passage (cf. John 1:21; 6:14; 7:40; Acts 3:22).

And yes, of course they were other true prophets. They were precursors of The Prophet, as godly kings/anointed ones were precursors of The King/Anointed One (Messiah).

Thanks for asking!
