In one such case, Chandra Harmon, a resident of Smyrna, Ga., says she arrived at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Chattanooga, Tenn., at 9:48 p.m. and was told by a server that the restaurant was about to close. At 10 p.m., Harmon watched as four white men were allowed into the restaurant. Through the window, she saw them eating and drinking. "We had hungry children and he still refused to serve us," Harmon said of the incident in July, referring to the manager.
Why on earth would they have hungry children at 10:00 at night? What the hell is wrong with those people? Why don't they fee their kids at a reasonable time?

I agree. I don't know about the one in Smyrna, but most Cracker Barrels I've seen are at major intersections on interstates. There are usually a ton of other fast food joints around at these locations.

And not only that, but why did she sit "watching" for 12 minutes when she had "hungry children?" Shouldn't her first priority have been to get her starving children some food. Looks like a set-up to me.
That said, there is enough real discrimination going on on a daily basis to keep lawyers busy for many years to come. Maybe they ought to stop crying wolf and go after those that really do discriminate. I, and I think most Freepers, would support that.

What the hell is wrong with those people? Those people? What people do you mean exactly? Black people?

2) Something like this did happen once to me, back in 1987. I went to a Cracker Barrel right at closing time, and I was seated and had a light meal even as others were being turned away. You know why? Because I was dating one of the waitresses and was there to pick her up. I had to have my third choice of entree too, because they'd already ran out of my top two choices for the night.
