then you discover that the left dominates American politics (and, quite frankly, I'm being really generous when I pretend that George Bush & Harry Browne aren't closet leftists themselves).

Good bumper sticker. Another analogy I like is that the Left is like a Japanese soldier left on an island post 1945 - he's still fighting a war without realizing how irrelevent he is and how lost his cause is.
