But if the Arabs had not borrowed the concept of zero from India, all those crackers might have never done squat.

What Islam achieved incidentally, primarily in compiling knowledge from other cultures, they kept jealously to themselves. Cartography being the best example.

No, the Muslim subjects like enslaved Byzantine Greeks and Hindus had superior mathematical knowledge for which their Muslim masters got credit.
