I agree with you about prosperity and, in fact, we recite the "shaken together and running over" verse everytime we tithe at my church...And I did say that Jesus' purse was never empty...I know in the bible it says he has money, never lacked for it. But I also don't see him buying a mansion to live in...Your right about the robe though...I forgot about that. I know what I said before probably looked like I was judging them, and I guess I was...I ask forgiveness of God for that, I don't know their hearts and, no, I don't watch them either. I just don't understand how you could justify buying a five million dollar house with all the lack of anything that permeates our world. This is something I am struggling with as I am about to graduate college and hopefully to become a missionary pilot soon...
Sorry if I am still working this through in my head, I appreciate your input very much...
IN Christ,
Sorry if I am still working this through in my head, I appreciate your input very much... No need to apologize.... We all have things that get under our skin, especially when it's something we regard so personally.
We tithe through our local church and support other ministries.. thru radio, TV and missionary outreaches with our offerings. I can say for a fact... that since we've been doing this... the Lord has blessed us abundantly... opening doors for opportunities we never would've dreamed of. Be blessed in your missionary endeavor.... and pray the Lord prospers those of us that give, so you won't miss a paycheck! :)
