Fortunately for OJ , Dershowitz had Pollard to hone his skills with..
And jury duty being what it is may have had something to do with Pollard's life sentence penalty...jury nullification.
As a matter of fact some of the actual treasonous charges were dropped against Pollard in order to gain a guilty conviction....a plea bargain was reached...

Pollard spied on America for Israel. So? He "spied" on America, Hang the bastard and hang him high and make it public and let it be known that this is what wil happen to you if you too are a foreign spy. But he spied for Israel, So what?

So what?......exactly the question Clinton asked ...
What will happen to me [and my legacy]if I pardon Pollard?
And what will happen to me and my legacy if I don't pardon Pollard?
Evidently not enough money changed hands...
Marc Rich..
Or his ex-wife snapped her thong...

All the way back to 1999. Desperate aren't you? The article is timeless and comprehensive.
All things lacking from the recent apologist dribble.
I wonder why Robert Hanssen needed money. Nose candy? Women? Men?

I could careless, he should rot along with Pollard.
They are both lucky they avoided execution.
Get off your religious thang. I don't care what religion Pollard is.. Anyway you and your apologist continue to igonore the fact that Pollard took money for his efforts.. What a Patriot... NOT. He, along with the little lady shared and offered to share Intel with other countries for fun a profit.

The job required high-level security clearances, and the Navy, which knew nothing about the C.I.A.'s assessment, eventually gave them to Pollard. His initial assignments dealt with the study of surface-ships systems in non-Communist countries, and, according to Pollard's superiors, his analytical work was excellent. While at Suitland, however, he repeatedly told colleagues far-fetched stories about ties he had with Mossad, the Israeli foreign-intelligence agency, and about his work as an operative in the Middle East. Naval Intelligence.
Right.
Pollard had help; did any of his supervisors or peers get nailed?

"Pollard had help" Agreed, either it was poor security review or he was sponsored.
The hiring of such a flagrant screwball/zealot is curious say the least.

If Tenet and company hadn't threatened to resign Pollard would be loose now. I have to give them credit for making that hard choice.

Gee you know all the lingo. How come?
Seems you know the lingo is legitimate as well.
To know the term "nose candy" = cocaine, you didn't need to be a cocaine user,
member of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Emergency Room Physician,
forensics lab chemist, or Liberatrian Drug-Legalization Advocate.
You just had to be awake and listen to some episodes of "Hill Street Blues" or
"Miami Vice".
The term "nose candy" as in cocaine got thrown around on more than a couple of episodes.
