from strictly a political position i can see this happening. i am keenly against abortion, yet the supreme court has for the most part made any statements i make about abortion and any actions i take to stop the abortion movement a moot point. not much poor little me can do about it.
given this, voting for a pro-abortion candidate may make sense if this is the only major issue that one has a difference with the candidate.
i would like to take this one step further. the liberals are very good at bringing up abortion. they are pro-abortion. it is a dead issue (pun intended). not much that can be done about it now. women between 18 and 40 tend to vote pro-abortion. this means they will vote liberal solely on the abortion issue -- even if they are conservative in other areas (against homosexual marriages, against big government, etc.)
this issue is that strong.
This could account for the Gender Gap. I Find it interesting that these so called women vote to be able to Kill their offspring ahead of any other issue.
In order to win, we have got to get RINO O'Conner off the Bench and Get a conservative on the Supreme Court in the Mold of Thomas or Scalia. We need to beat them the same way they beat us.
Supreme Court.
Good thing for blacks they didn't feel the same way.(Dread Scott ring a bell?)
And...the question I have for you and others who are willing to support pro-abortion candidates is this...
If life and death itself is not the defining political issue for you...then what is?
