one of the key commanders of Gulbadin Hikmatyar's Hizb-e-Islami..

If he is one of Hikmatyar's boys, it's no great loss. Hikmatyar is the one that broke the alliance apart back in mid 90's by sending 600 rockets slamming into Kabul.

Hikmatyar is right up near the top of my take-out list. He is a self-absorbed sadist, and is a man of no loyalty except to himself. Also, he should be pretty easy to take out, having a known address.

Hekmatyar has NEVER been part of the Northern Alliance, nor so far as I know have any of the Hzb-i.islami factions. I can't see this as much of a loss.

Gulbuddin was a fanatical taliban before the taliban was created. He is a pashtun extremist who during the soviet occupation, was just as happy killing mujahadeen as he was killing soviets and their afghan puppets.
