I've never been one to say that a person does not have the right to commit suicide.

If he wants to be one of the folks whose destruction will be at a time of our choosing, he probably deserves to be on the receiving end of a B52 bomb.

It would be cool if he is a part of the new US approach to infiltration. Love to see a Taliban Double-Cross.

one of the key commanders of Gulbadin Hikmatyar's Hizb-e-Islami..If he is one of Hikmatyar's boys, it's no great loss. Hikmatyar is the one that broke the alliance apart back in mid 90's by sending 600 rockets slamming into Kabul.

Sounds more like they want to infiltrate and unite forces against the US. Bombs Away!!!

a guy from the south decides to ally himself with the tally-whackers, and the Northern Alliance is in trouble? What about the USA deciding to ally with the Northern Alliance? I haven't heard the press say what a great BOOST that is for the NA.
Let this jerk fry with the Tally-Whackers. Fine with me.

Let all those who will defect do so now, before the ground war really kicks in.

How can we trust any of these folks? We can't buy a friend. I don't expect Paki to hold on much longer. Who'll get to their nukes first?

Sheesh, the guy named names....
"We started the negotiations with Maulvi Ghulam Haider Barech, Maulvi Noor Shah Barech and Maulvi Faizullah, all Taliban officials in Kandahar and Quetta. And we have given the authority to all these three officials to negotiate for us with their senior leaders in Kandahar," he said. "
And places....[Quetta never mentioned or listed on media maps.]

Sounds like a Pashtun tribe anyway.
To: HAL9000
Ig uess he and his hundreds will be future "civilian" casualties.
As long as we're not sharing G2 with the NA, no harm done.
To: HAL9000
If this story is true, this tribal commander has got to know he is going to die.

Anyone that joins the Taliban is another less than intelligent enemy we won't have to deal with in the future. The collective IQ in Afghanistan will be much higher when there are no more of these morons. Keep em coming.

Great!! He and his men can join all the thousands of idiot fanatics heading out of Pakistan. They will all quickly become nothing more than biological material for the local vultures to nibble on!</font color>

The Northern Alliance in Afghanistan is set to suffer another blow "Another" blow? What was the first one?

About Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf's policies, he said Pakistan is "trying to hold two watermelons in one hand" He may be a suicidal idiot, but he certainly has a colorful way with metaphors... Maybe we could make him an honorary Southerner. Posthumously, of course...
