FBI Seeks van, possible bomb in mall?

Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:

FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.

The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

Anyone do a search on this license plate yet? I know that here in Texas you can pay through the net to get details on the owner of a vehicle. Would at least show if the vehicle was a rental.

I'll bet Harvard or MIT is or will eventually be a planned primary target. These guys are not as interested in causing fear (as many assume) as they are in practical military objectives. Imagine wiping out thousands of the best scientists and future scientists at once at MIT

It could also be that President Bush and Ashcroft knew what they were about and that there are many other little Ryder truck goodies spread around the country.

There was a thread a while back about some Al Quaeda types going to truck driving school in the midwest. Brides, tunnels, malls, churches.... the targets are endless for a truck and a scumbag in it.

I am talking about the "seed" of the plan...not that it had to be the exact Halloween date..and who is to say that they hadn't planned something and it got thwarted

This van thing is strange because a van in a parking garage overnight would be suspicious. It seems that they would drive it in during the day. I hadn't thought about nuclear waste but this might be a way to deliver a 'dirty bomb'.

As far as the Baltimore story, the story has been done in various versions. The latest I saw on this site was a K-Mart cashier and Baltimore.
