It makes sense if it is a school calendar, or if it is an Islamic calendar.

A 2001 calendar printed in May.

Our calendar is Christian, credited to Pope Gregory XIII. Muslims likely start their year differently.

It should have been issued in March. Isn't this month the sixth?

Lots of calendars are printed in the middle of the year for schools. They are designed to cover the schoold year, running from one summer to the next summber.

Which, of course, makes this calendar even worse. Not only was it given to children, but it was specificly designed to be given out in schools.

the islamic calendar is in a state of flux, not fixed like ours. It changes from year to year. Their new year started in april. As they could not predict the future, they were not able to put the calendar out till may.
