In this world, peace is achieved by struggle and maintained by force or threat of force. It lasts only as long as the good guys are on top. We're the good guys. Some vicious idealogues from the Middle-East want to topple us. Good intentions and peace slogans don't even register on their radar. You are unfortunetly correct. All I meant was that Lennon was an idealist. Ideally, all people would chill out and none of this would have happened. Obviously, this is an imperfect world, and there will always be evil.
Lennon was a dreamer, and to some people, dreaming of a perfect world, Eden, brings comfort. Is it all that bad to wish for it?

It's not bad to wish for it, but some in his generation tried to make it reality without anything but emotions and feelings to back it up. Add to that the underlying cowardice of the PP's, which was the real motivation for many. Their worldview was completely corrupt and based on lies and fairy tales. The results are obvious.
