Assuming all this to be correct, I'm curious as to where the politicians buy their testosterone supplements, as they have none in the natural sense. Everybody is quoting warnings in the form of "60-Minutes" & the overseas papers, yet we're told there was 'no intelligence.'

A few thousand bodies later, I wonder if they've got a clue yet?

McVeigh's attorney, Stephan Jones, was on the money, but he got totally blocked.

Just the known laxity of the FAA on airport security with no Congressional action is enough to hold the U.S. Government responsible for negligent homicide. The Boston Airport was famous for it's security failures. The Hart Rudman Report was recent enough to suffice as not only intelligence, but a guarantee.

Watch where the consequent tax dollars ultimately get spent - Texas???

A friend of mine has been lobbying Congress & the White House for years to get on the FAA - to no avail. He alone warned of the methodology of these hijackers. There was no surprise, except the date, possibly not even that.

Clinton's Executive Order 12866, and its application, guaranteed this event.

The frightening part is that the oldest hijacker / terrorist technique is to operate with a 'caboose;' a backup. Thus, we may be certain that there are more attacks to come.

Beware FEMA!

Excellent article, Pat. You've not only expressed the thoughts I've had ever since seeing that news story when it broke last night--it didn't warrant much more than a raised eyebrow on most networks--but you've put all the pieces together in great (and dismaying) detail. I plan on putting links to this page frequently. I don't know if it will change many minds, but people should read it. I am left with the sad conclusion that we could have stopped this long ago, as long ago as 1995.

My prayer is that this is no "Gulf of Tonkin" event. As time goes on, I fear we'll find still more being exposed.

Addressing reality, I have a nagging feeling that Cheney is the functional President, not Bush - bad feeling.

I wonder if the media is ready to tell America that their "Ethnic Albanians" are Muslims, now.

Steve Elson is getting a fair amount of exposure, so maybe there's a percentage of the population willing to listen.

We can't discount the horror of what happened, but we can illustrate the deliberate programming of what happened. There was no shortage of official complaints or documentation of the risk, and its high-probability for becoming a reality. Even the time frame was known.

There is no excuse.

As an example of what the FAA gets away with, check the list of articles at -

What is extremely troublesome is that these same men who have failed us so badly, are still making the same mistakes and yet are the ones entrusted with the role of protecting us from terrorists in the future. To this date, I doubt their reliability, integrity and judgment on the combating of Middle Eastern terrorist cells and individuals. I pray they will read and listen and learn from their mistakes and change their policies and approaches for the better to save the lives of innocent American citizens.

bump!

If you wish to be safer on board an airplane, then allow citizens to remain in posssion of thier concealed weapons when they board an aircraft.

How many times must it be proven that people are safer, much safer when they are armed. Terrorists know an aircraft is defenseless, no one on board is allowed to carry anything remotely resembling a weapon. Easy pickings for 5 or 6 armed men. Throw the metal detectors away (not the bomb detectors) and air travel will be much safer.

Intelligence Lapse

From the Wall Street Journal, Washington Wire, Friday September 14, 2001, at http://interactive.wsj.com/articles/SB1000434099992421472.htm

INTELLIGENCE LAPSE: Both parties are angry at lack of information sharing.

Republicans are the most vocal in decrying sketchy briefings by the FBI and CIA. A closed-door forum Wednesday for about 400 House members leaves many so steamed that White House lobbyist Calio is back again Thursday for a GOP-only session so they can vent. Bush arranges another bipartisan overview later that day.

GOP Sen. Grassley says after one update, "They could have given us some more information, and should." Some blame GOP Sen. Hatch for intelligence officials' tight lips: They say the officials "pulled the Hatch down" after his televised disclosures this week that the U.S. had intercepts linked to terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

How many of these angry elected representatives and their staffs ignored warnings of the potential consequences of information that they received in the past?

I lost one of my best replies on an Arator thread, documenting how a lot of this disaster can be laid at the feet of Clinton, the media, and the people who voted for him for the "good economy." A few people must have hit the abuse button and all the good posts get lost with the "bad." With all that Clinton did to help Arafat vs. Israel, and Bin Laden's boys in the Balkans, and his policies continuing, I can't see our foreign policy as a reason for this, except in regards to Iraq. Nothing about this makes sense at all, but we can all count on the terrorist cells continuing to be tolerated (what other word is there?) by the government, even though their claimed reasons for that tolerance now have 10,000 reasons why it is a failure.

We're stuck in a coldwar policy vis-a-vis Israel, whether by inadvertence or design. The Gulf War laid the foundation of alliances which could have been built upon but were squandered, but I don't pretend that the right course would have been easy to find.

Good one! I understand Bin Laden was aiding KLA/UCK too.

Here's the sickening part -

The whole Balkan mess is about access to Caspian Sea oil and the heroin (opium; originally) from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey.

If you go to the actual history as oppposed to the media presentations, you have a close replay to the original version we know as the "Viet Nam War." Pay close attention to the direction of tax dollars.

America was described the 'horrible Serbians" who were committing atrocities (blown to an extreme proportion by the media). The fact is that the Serbs had been driven from their homes by the Muslims ("Ethnic Albanians") and wanted to take back what was rightfully theirs. As with Viet Nam, only half the story was told.

Atrocities of limited proportion were committed by both sides, but only the Serbian allegations were published.

In the current crisis, the media applied the psycholigical warfare technique of Perception Control ("....there was no intelligence that this was about to happen."), as opposed to the more simple propaganda (lies, selective facts & half-truths).

In a sentence, the American people financed Bin Laden with heroin purchases - documented by author, Youseff Bodansky.

Next, go to the roles of companies such as "Brown & Root" (Cheney's old outfit) in the current Balkan mess (Camp Bondsteel, in particular). Go to the role of a 'private' company known as "MPRI" (CIA mercenaries) in the Balkans and South America.

The connections are endless and conclusive.

Follow the defense tax dollars in particular. Watch for major players to buy the bulk of Boeing stock.

Recently, it was announced that the Viet Nam era helicopters were to be retired. If logic holds, Textron/Bell (Texas) will be given a new and damnably expensive contract for a new generation of helicopters; when the Viet Nam era aircraft are more than adequate. Notice also that the overhaul facility is in Texas.

There is every possibility that there is a "Satan" behind the current crisis, but not the one the Muslims seem to believe - the American people.

The scammed "Gulf of Tonkin Resolution" and the USS Liberty incident tell us that fifty-six thousand dead GIs meant nothing to Texas. The current horror is NOT beyond the realm of possibility!
