Editor's note: This column contains embeds of a social media post with language that might offend some people. Then again, you probably knew it was coming when you clicked the link.
Well, sure: It wasn’t the most traditional Easter Day message (NSFW):
“Open the Fuckin’ Strait,” Trump writes on Truth Social. “Praise be to Allah.” pic.twitter.com/7riSpTVLWJ— bryan metzger (@metzgov) April 5, 2026
Naturally, all the people who already hated Donald Trump were aghast:
On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted.
Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness.
I know all of you and him and he… pic.twitter.com/DgR74YjPQf— Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@FmrRepMTG) April 5, 2026
On the holiest day in the Christian calendar, for Trump to post this is one of the greatest disgraces in the history of the Presidency. I’m saddened, shocked, and ashamed. pic.twitter.com/3mdL1gv5ou— Joe Morelle (@RepJoeMorelle) April 5, 2026
Easter is a day for peace and reflection. The rhetoric from President Trump is beyond unacceptable any day, but it’s especially so today.
The President’s words do not reflect the lessons and values of Jesus, and they should be rejected by all in the Christian faith. pic.twitter.com/lnv0o830xX— Rep. Johnny Olszewski (@RepJohnnyO) April 5, 2026
Spare us the pearl-clutching. American men and women are fighting a hot-war with bullets, drones, planes, missiles, and bombs — and Trump’s critics have their panties in a knot over an F-bomb on social media? That’s their focus?

On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted.
Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness.
I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit.
I’m not defending Iran but let’s be honest about all of this.
The Strait is closed because the US and Israel started the unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lies they’ve been telling for decades, that any moment Iran would develop a nuclear weapon.
You know who has nuclear weapons?
Israel.
They are more than capable of defending themselves without the US having to fight their wars, kill innocent people and children, and pay for it.
Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing.
On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another.
Even our enemies.
Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians.
Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace.
Not escalating war that is hurting people.
This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most.
This is not making America great again, this is evil.
RE: You know who has nuclear weapons? Israel.
I keep reading about this but have never known WHEN and WHERE Israel ever tested a nuclear bomb. Can anyone point me to a definitive day and place where Israel tested one?
Wake me up when he runs for saint. Otherwise, go Trump!
This tirade isn’t the first time Trump lost his temper and shouted profanities, and it won’t be the last.
“Open the Fuckin’ Strait,” Trump writes on Truth Social. “Praise be to Allah.” It’s The Apprentice again.
Actual testing has been done by computer programming for decades. Its cheaper and environmentally friendly.
RE: It’s The Apprentice again.
I don’t think he was allowed to use the F-word on that show.

Enlightened interpreters of Christianity also told us that Jesus hated borders and would welcome all invaders with open arms, so I’ll take a pass on their guidance.
Not presidential.
Personally, I love it.Thank God Trump is our president.mtg can go take a flying poke at a rolling dounut.
I am not sensitive to the F word.
I just find it lazy. And crude.
We did not allow it in our home when raising kids. My wife and I still don’t speak like that. (We both had jobs where being around open microphones could get you in trouble.)
There are ALWAYS better words to use.
When you are trying to communicate to EVERYONE you need to be using language that EVERYONE will listen to.
But Trump is gonna Trump.
Good, being presidential hasn’t gotten us anywhere with the libtards and camel molesters. Sometimes you have to speak their language.
Ditto.
One of my favorite leaders from history is General George Patton.
when asked by a chaplain if he read the Bible he had on his nightstand Patton replied, “Every G-D day!”
He was known for his profanity. He was eloquent in it.
AND, during the Battle of the Bulge he called upon Almighty God for help with the weather. Had the prayer printed on cards and distributed to his troops. God listened.
She is casting stones? Let’s talk about you M and who you are doing and how you enriched yourself during your time the House? What happened to her? True colors or big money, my bet both.
“I had heard that word at least ten times a day from my old man. He worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It was his true medium; a master.” - Ralphie
I wonder how big the bribe was to get her to go full on TDS?
Reagan never took his coat off in the oval office out of respect for the position. The man honors the title, the title does not honor the man.
